I feel like an idiot.  I went out for an early walk through the park this morning, saw two men and said a polite hello.  I figured that was what people do in this time, you know before stranger danger and all that.   They ran from me like I was a monster.  I didn't figure it out until just now.  They were holding hands.  They must have thought that I was letting them know I had seen them.  Like a judgement, or worse, a threat.

Ugh.

I've never been more keenly aware of how not American I am until today. I forgot myself and swore under my breath in my native tongue because I stubbed my toe, and in an instant I was surrounded by people discussing the Cold War and saying some frightening things about 'the Russians'.

Thankfully, nobody said or did anything to me specifically, but it served as a reminder that even I need to watch myself here.

Mia's and Abigail's messages brought up a few problems, mostly the fact that we're terrible at accepting discrimination, but I suppose we'll need to shut up and accept it (feel free to remind me).

To keep a semblance of cover and to speed up the return to a normal timeline, Mia is helping us purchase the general store. Bucky and I will pose as brothers and live upstairs. If anyone wants to be married to one of us, it'd help with the cover.

As you've seen, women are unlikely to work and since we are maintaining 'family value', it's probably best that the women don't work, unless involved in a 'family business'. Feel free to exchange texts to figure out jobs we can have and arranged marriages.

How's everyone feeling about the bus landing? 

I have mixed feelings. What happened with the way the last stop ended was horrible and I don't want us going through that again. 

At the same time, I need more space.  I hate feeling so confined.  Too many bad memories.

Hey Everyone,

I know this last world was a tough one and we had to face some difficult things. If anyone wants to talk, you know where to find me. Also I think we all deserve a few days of rest, but starting Monday, we're back to training. Since we have new people again, we'll do new sign ups (you can comment here if you like) and new pairings. We've seen that it's probably the easiest way for us to go since we need contingencies in which we can move fast.

Thanks to the resistance and the device Elizabeth and Marcus brought back, we have identified a plant with red handprints on the walls.

The plant is in Lancaster which is roughly 70 miles from here. That would be a five day trek considering all of the hills and patrols. Since I know that wizards/witches can't Apparate to place they don't know, how about from hill to hill? That should cut down our trip to maybe a few hours, since they'll need to make a few trips and walk to points where they can see the next Apparrition point.

Once there, we also have to destroy the pant. Now that's the easy part and I'll come up with a plan that keeps everyone save. My question is what ideas/powers/skills do we have to stop the upload to Skynet. We can't use the same weather spell, because if the first time Skynet used standard procedures to check out the problem, they won't fall for the same trick twice and we'd have much faster aerial deployment. So ideas? Skill?

I know some of you like to send private messages, but unless it's truly private, please keep it public because we don't know what comment will spark ideas in others. If it is private, feel free to text me separately.

I hate to be a bother, and I want you all to know that I waited a few days to bring this up because at first I thought I was being paranoid, but after giving it a lot of thought I felt it prudent to bring my suspicions to you guys.

There's something off about Elizabeth. She creeps me out, like even though I haven't physically made her acquaintance the vibes I get from her are nicht gut. Also, the last person who told me that we're going to be good friends gaslit me into nearly opening the gates of Hell, so... yeah, sketchy.

Anyway, I don't trust her, and I'd rather not be alone with her. Thank you.

Three things:
1. Salem found a formerly blocked off tunnel, if anyone wants to see where it leads. It stinks of stale air and something I couldn't identify, though, and Salem refused to let me go any further.

2. I need at least one, possibly two high-metabolism having volunteers to try out my food hack. If it works, I think it'll be a game changer.

3. Do we have any objectives I should know about to try and plan ahead for?

Today, the group will train at the gym from 8:30 to 9:30 and then in the holodeck from 9:30 to 12:30.

The reason I'm texting everyone is because from 9:30 to 11:30 the holodeck will be a shooting range. Even if you don't normally train with us, if you want to learn to shoot or practice if you already know how, you are free to join us.
