RP: Welcome to a nuclear wasteland
Who: Open
When: pre dawn, January 8th
Where: On the bus/Skynet camp
What: The group has another mission
Steve knew that things were bad when a very different voice told them to meet in the weapon room. The display of weapons was a lot more substantial than anything he'd ever seen the bus provide.
"Listen up," the Conductor started, "this mission is different. We have reports of multiple temporal anomalies coming in, and we're not sure how much damage there is. We'll be starting from the oldest. If we can realign that one, then we'll see what else there's left. I will be sending information as it comes in, so don't lose the phone," she said, looking at Draco.
"Those backpacks are similar to what they have here. There's a few clothes, but there are plenty of hidden pockets for ammo and weapons. You will need them. There are always pills. Take one a day. We're not positive if you'll need them, but they might just keep you alive if you do." She looked at all of them. "We will be landing while it's still dark inside a concentration camp. You need to locate members of the resistance that weren't meant to be there, and free them. You need to make sure that they find their way to the resistance. Smaller groups will be necessary as there are multiple bunkers to investigate. Three groups are what is needed. If you have suggestions, now is the time."
Steve didn't like this one bit. The Conductor had never shown any interest in them as people and would have no idea who they were and what they needed. She also wasn't explaining how she knew that there would be three barracks. Or were there more and the resistance was likely in one of those three barracks? "Let's make one thing clear. You can come and help, but you aren't in charge, not when you can't die and have no skin in the game." He looked at his people. "We'll go with our groups. Abigail, join group B. Cal, Merrin and Draco with me. Sarah, you can go with Stephen, and let's be clear, he's in charge. You're there to shoot." And from the way she was handling that rifle, she wouldn't miss.
Looking at the passenger who spoke up, the Conductor paused and assessed the man. Almost like a program pulling up a file to review, it processed what it knew of the man name Steve Rogers and nodded. Today they were Sarah. Another time and place, perhaps another face. It was needed to steer the mission and fulfill the objective of the bus this time. And so Sarah nodded. "Fine, Rogers." She replied before turning to address the group. "Everyone keep your wits about you. Heads down and eyes on the objective. This isn't some candyland North Pole. This is high stakes and you only get to play your hand once. Let's move out."
