Who: Mac and Open
When: Morning, January 24th
Where: The Tunnels
What: Mac’s bored and a little distressed.
Warning: None
Mac felt bored and useless. She wandered the small tunnels amongst the locals and fellow bus passengers alike, but paid them no mind. Leaving the camp they’d initially stayed in had been more startling than when they’d actually arrived in this world. The very little she had seen had been familiar and yet totally foreign. She’d spent quite a number of days in her childhood riding the rides and doing the tours at Universal, as many other natives to Southern California had. Mac honestly didn’t want to see any more of the outside world here. It was too much like seeing your childhood blown up in war, which she supposed was true in this timeline.
Though it had disturbed her, the idea that this had happened to her home, even if this wasn’t her timeline, made her want to be apart of the solution. She wanted to help, and thought that considering what was happening here had a lot to do with computers and tech she had some familiarity with that she could. But so far it seemed that her expertise was not needed. There were just so many people here that seemed to be more informed about the specific technology in this world that for the first time, she actually felt less than when it came to computers. She understood that she couldn’t be apart of the battle that got them out of the camp. She was no warrior. But now she felt just plain useless.
Part of her thought that she should go find someone in charge and see what she could do, but she couldn’t imagine any of them giving her anything actually important to do. It wasn’t like they actually knew anything about her. Not that she blamed them. Mac wasn’t very good at meeting people typically and why would anyone trust her with something important if they didn’t know they could trust her? The only people that did know her were gone and she was at a loss for what to do next.
