"Severus cares -" Hermione said.

Ron looked green, Harry doubtful.

"- so we'll start to strategise. You convince him you're serious and you won't run away again."

"I… just panicked. It was stupid."

"It was," Hermione said, glaring. "But no good crying over spilt milk."

Ron sniggered suggestively and Hermione elbowed him in the ribs. "Ronald Weasley!"

"You need to woo him."

Harry looked panicked. "What? How? He'll hex me!"

"Start with flowers," Ron advised. "Mum says flowers are romantic. And if he hexes them what's the worst that can happen?"

"His house will smell like Mrs Figg's," Harry laughed.
