Getting caught up.

(Credit goes to KRO, Knight Rider Archives, and Knight Rider Historians for all of the info mentioned in this post.)

Sorry there haven't been any new posts lately. Trying to improve my art and drawing skills have taken up a lot of my time as of late. (Edit: I'm hoping I can get good enough to attempt to draw KITT's voice box from either mid-S1, or S3/S4.)

I'm sorry to report that we have lost at least four Knight Rider alum, two were guest stars, and the others worked behind the scenes.

Bernard Fox, who played Commander Smythe in 'Custom K.I.T.T.', He was best known for his role in the series Hogan's Heroes. (He also appeared in the same episode of Soap as William Daniels.)

Dick Gautier, who played J. Gordon Baxter aka The Chameleon in 'Knight of the Chameleon'.

We also lost director Jeffrey Hayden (Seasons 1 & 2 & 4 - 'Hearts of Stone', 'K.I.T.T. The Cat', 'Diamonds Aren't A Girl's Best Friend', and one of my personal favorites, 'Sky Knight'.)

And finally, days ago Bruce Lansbury passed away. He was the brother of famed actress, Angela Lansbury, and helped to pen the episode 'Knight of the Rising Sun'.

Our condolences to their loved ones.

On to happier KR news.

Here's a fun KITT/Sonic crossover from LEGO Dimensions. The Knight Rider Fun Pack is being released this month.

Michael and KITT recently made an appearance in an AT&T commercial. (Unfortunately, their scene has been taken out in most broadcasts.)

William Daniels has a memoir coming out soon, titled, There I Go Again, How I Came To Be Mr. Feeny, John Adams, Dr. Craig, KITT, & Many Others. He recently posted dates on which he will be doing book signings, that you can find here on his Twitter page.

And lastly, Newsweek has done an article on Michael Scheffe and the cars used on the show. Click here to read it.

Again, I'm sorry for not posting more often. Hope everyone is doing well. <3

KITT skits and Baywatch pathos: 'Hoff The Record'.

(Apologies for not reporting on this show earlier. My dad passed away recently, so things have been busy and hectic.)

Kitt skits and Baywatch pathos: have you been watching Hoff the Record?

Sadly, we don't get this channel. Maybe more clips will show up on YouTube. Sounds like it's getting better praise than the short-lived A&E reality show.

A.V. Club Interview With William Daniels.

Also with his wife, Bonnie Bartlett. These two really are great in interviews they have together. To be married to the same person for that long, I think you'd kind of have to get along that easily. ;)

Forgot to post this sooner. Credit to the lovely Vespurrs for the find.

Knight Rider briefly mentioned in new self-driving technology article.

Mercedes reveals its self-driving car of the future, a lounge on wheels

If it is, the car uses a high-precision laser system to project a virtual cross walk onto the road surface and speaks “Please go ahead.” (Hopefully using William Daniels’ voice.)

:D You know, it's getting to the point if an article/news story dealing with self-driving cars doesn't mention Knight Rider or KITT, I become extremely disappointed.

(The design of the exterior could use some work, however. Just my opinion on it.)

BBC News article: Six Ways Knight Rider Predicted The Future.

I've skimmed it, and was pleasantly surprised that not only do they not knock the series, but they seem to have also done a bit of homework. Wish more KR-related articles were like this.

Benedict Cumberbatch Reveals Cheesy TV Obsessions: 'I Loved Knight Rider And Baywatch'

Instead of settling down for some sci-fi, Cumberbatch much preferred a bit of cheesy US drama when he was growing up:

"I never was obsessive about anything I watched when I was a kid, except maybe The A-Team and Airwolf," the star tells SFX Magazine.

"And I loved Knight Rider and then later Baywatch."

Who would've thought it!

I'm not very familiar with his work, but The Other Boleyn Girl is next in our Netflix queue.

(Wow, I didn't know there was a difference between geek TV and cheese TV. lol)

FEENAY! FEE-HEE-HEE-NAY!

Okay, so this isn't completely Knight Rider related. It concerns William Daniels, and that's good enough for me.

TVLine.com: Girl Meets World Scoop: It's Official — William Daniels to Return as Mr. Feeny!

(Some of the comments on the article really crack me up. "Dad! That car is Mr. Feeny!") XD

Yes. As a fan of both franchises, I am absolutely over the moon over this. I really hope we get to see Mr. Feeny on occasion. (Plus, I want to know if Shawn and Angela ever got back together.)

Any other original Knight Rider/Boy Meets World fans out there? To be honest, I've probably seen BMW as many times as I have KR, if not a tiny bit more. (Just don't let other KR fans know that.)

Knight Rider creator/producer, Glen Larson, sues NBC Universal.

Legendary television producer Glen Larson has sued Universal claiming he was cheated out of millions of dollars in profits from some of the most iconic shows of the 1970s and ‘80s.

Larson, who presided over a remarkable run of hits including Knight Rider, Six Million Dollar Man, Magnum P.I., Battlestar Galactica and other shows, filed suit in Los Angeles Superior Court on Tuesday. In a complaint obtained by The Hollywood Reporter, he alleges a decades-long fraud perpetrated by a studio that never once sent him profit participation statements despite his shows earning hundreds of millions of dollars.

“Indeed, as the shows make more money for Universal, the deficit that Larson Productions must overcome continually increases,” the complaint states. “It’s Hollywood’s version of being a sharecropper.”

We’ve reached out to Universal for comment and will update with a response. UPDATE: An NBCU spokesman sends us this comment:

"We are surprised that Mr. Larson has brought this lawsuit. He has been well compensated for his work on Universal's shows. Mr. Larson did not conduct any audit or otherwise notify Universal of any claim in advance of this filing. We have not seen the lawsuit."

Larson began his long relationship with Universal in 1975. His deals entitled him to “net profits” from his shows.

Universal was “aware that they manipulated the accounting in such a manner that made it impossible for Larson Productions to ever receive contingent compensation from the television shows in the ordinary course of business,” the complaint states.

Jack Klugman, star of the Larson-produced show Quincy, M.E., also has sued Universal over profits.

The complaint alleges causes of action for breach of contract, declaratory relief, accounting, restitution for unjust enrichment, money due on open book account, conversion, fraud, negligent misrepresentation and unfair business practices.

Larson is represented by Neville Johnson, Douglas Johnson and James Ryan of Johnson and Johnson in Beverly Hills.
