11:16 pm [dytabytes] [Link]	616? We don't need no steekin' 616! Hey guys! This is my first time sharing comics at the new S_D so I'm really excited! I thought I'd share a little bit of the Marvel Adventures Avengers. It may be marketed to kids, but it's got snark, it's got action and it's got some pretty good characterization and minimal angst, which is my kind of comic. I'd especially recommend it to those who aren't exactly thrilled with current 616!canon. I know I like it more. ( Dial-uppers might not be happy. But there was a time not that long ago when Marvel Adventures (originally called Marvel Age) was completely superfluous essentially consisting of lame retelling of old Lee/Ditko stories modern art. Then something amazing happened. 11:40 pm [starwolf_oakley] [Link]	Looking for Hulk story I vaguely remember a Hulk story where the Hulk finds himself in a regular town where everyone is nice to him, and no one seems to notice he is huge and green. The Hulk wonders if he can be happy there, then the town vanishes like Brigadoon. I think someone on the old board compared it to a Twilight Zone story. Anyone know what I mean? For legality, some selections from Bruce Banner's subconscious. EDIT: Only three pages. Just in case. ( React! ( Like this CRACTACULAR Hulk short by Moore & Gibbons? ) But seriously, if Marvel wants only their OWN images removed, why'd we lose all of our DC, DARKHORSE, DELL, HARVEY, WARREN, and indy images? Livejournal and Photobucket just jump the gun and drop 'em all, or do they not know which company owns which characters? 09:29 am [volksjager] [Link]	The Defenders don't get no respect... I always like the Defenders it was an offbeat book from Marvels bronze age. It didn't have alot of big names in it so they could be free with the interaction and turn up the drama. I'd like to see the book come back as a non canon experience set in a retro 1983 ( a true bronze age book)taking advantage of history. Sort of like the retro Sentry book , but more serious :) ...and they had great villains like Egghead and the headmen ! In keeping with the new rules for new comics, I'm posting 4 pages out of each. I'm not crazy about using this scanner or I'd post more often, but everything comes out looking like Ernie's shirt more often than not. Ah well, what can you expect for seven bucks?
