Alex didn’t do well in captivity, and that was exactly what this was. It might have been a large cage, a city wide cage..but it was still a cage. Alex had a life to get back to. All of them did. She had a knack for helping people, it was something she’d picked up from Nikita. After all, Alex wouldn’t even be here if Nikita hadn’t saved her all those years ago. If Alex could figure out how to get everyone back home, then she would do everything that she could. Stefan seemed like a pretty level-headed guy. And they seemed to be on the same page. They were going to meet in the lobby and see what they could do to get the attention of their captors. It was a mission that might be dangerous, but that was nothing new for Alex. She’d been dealing with dangerous since she was a little girl. If there was even a chance that this would work, then she had to try. She wasn’t all that comfortable with endangering Stefan too, but he seemed to know what he was getting into. Maybe he even had something of a hero complex. Their private chat had yielded some interesting results, and someone had to do something. She doubted their captors would be too happy if something in the prison was destroyed. No one would get hurt. Alex would make sure of that, no innocent lives would be lost. She just hoped that Stefan wouldn’t have too many questions about where Alex had picked up some of her...lesser advertised skills. She made it to the lobby, pulling her hair into a ponytail and sat down in one of the oversized lounge chairs, waiting for him. While she was waiting, she also made sure she noted every viable exit. That was just a habit of hers, in case she needed to make a quick escape. It was second nature and she couldn’t help it. |
