No matter how quietly Alex was speaking, there was just an off chance that there was someone in here that could hear her. Either someone with incredibly hearing and an ability to read lips or ... a vampire. Like him. Which, she didn't know about, but he wasn't planning on telling her that. Things were too weird as it was it were and that was just something else. He glanced around until his eyes fell back on her and he nodded, gesturing for the two of them to go outside.
Once they were outside, walking along the sidewalk, he shook his head - "Sorry, you just ... never know who's listening." Not that it would have mattered now, but still. The question still remained as to whether he wanted to do this or not, go in on her plan of getting their attention, being destructive and naturally, his answer was yes. He wanted to find out who was behind this. He wanted to help send people home. He wanted ... Caroline to be okay and right now, they weren't okay. There were too many unanswered questions. Either way, despite the fact that he and Caroline wished that it wasn't always him, he was putting himself in this position because he didn't want Alex to do it alone, plus, he was doing it for himself.
"Oh, I'm in," he said, a little confidently as he looked at her, not forgetting when he, Matt and Caroline were trying to ... literally blow up the heretics who were trying and later successfully took over their town. Stefan built a bomb with the help of Alaric who was in Europe with Damon and Bonnie. Either way, the plan didn't work and they suffered for it, but he knew how to build one.
"I guess I shouldn't be surprised that you want to do this. With the kind of work you do. But, I have to ask you too. Are you sure you want to do this? We don't know what we're facing, who's behind this. It could be anyone or anything." Either way, if something should happen, he would protect her when she couldn't do it herself, but even as a vampire and depending what they were up against, there was only so much he could do. If it was just a normal human, then it would have been no problem, but he had a feeling whoever was doing this wasn't.
