Stefan easily made it out of the hardware store without any questions as to what he was getting or why. Compulsion was a dirty trick, Stefan knew that, but he used it. Not as regularly as other vampires, but he did use it. He wasn't innocent. Far from it if he was being honest. He walked out with the bags, continuing to hold onto them. “Got it,” he said casually and they started walking. Where to? He wasn’t sure. He was kind of following her lead on that as they walked down the side walk. “Any idea where we’re going?” He asked and that was when they passed an alley and he brought his other hand over, taking the other bag, in his other hand and touched her shoulder.
“Let’s go down here.”
The ally was darkened, despite the fact it was still light outside and this way, they could be alone to plan and build. They found themselves in a dead in with a brick wall blocking their way and he set the bags down. He huddled down, looking up at her. “It’s okay, I’ll know if anyone’s coming,” he said, leaving it at that. She would probably ask why, or wonder – but he’d cross that bridge when they got there. Hopefully, she’d just take his word for it.
Stefan pulled everything out of the bags and he looked at her, taking a deep breath and he gave her a shaky smile.
“No turning back now.” Well, technically, there was but they were doing this. They had gone this far. It was important to figure out what was going on, and who was doing this. Stefan was in belief that this would work, no matter what the consequence was.
