"We just need to pick something, something that will draw attention but where no one will get hurt." She was thinking a statue or something would be good enough to send a message, but small enough that it wouldn't put anyone at risk. At least Alex was hoping it wouldn't. She knew it was a risk in general, but she and Stefan had both committed to doing this. They knew what they were getting into, at least in theory.
She went down the alley with him, and looked around. She believed Stefan, but she still couldn't help seeing for herself. She wondered about him, and why he had the skills he seemed to have. Maybe that would be a conversation that they could have later. They just had to see how this would go. Maybe they could go through the whole getting to know you bit later.
"I'm ready." She nodded. They were definitely going to do this. She didn't want to turn back. This could potentially help everyone. Maybe they would get answers if nothing else. She didn't know what would happen for sure. There was no way to know. They just had to do this and go from there.
"We'll find a statue or something close and that should be good enough." They'd also make sure there weren't a bunch of people around. It would be a relatively safe bombing. Those words didn't usually belong in the same sentence, but this was different. They had to try something to get their captors attention. Hopefully it wouldn't blow up in their faces.
