This was weird. Too weird.
Rogue had just been heading to bed when she suddenly found herself in the middle of a city, wearing nothing but her pajamas - with a head of wet hair to boot. Thankfully it was already beginning to dry, but it was doing so in those unruly ringlets she'd hated so much.
Confused and bewildered, she had gone off to find the nearest computer, which happened to be located in a nearby internet cafe. Like most businesses, they had the right to refuse anyone who didn't wear a shirt or shoes... and Rogue happened to be lacking the latter. So she had to sneak in behind a group of people who were entering the building and then she veered off sharply to the right, towards the row of laptops they had provided for those who didn't own portables.
When she had found a free computer, the first thing she'd tried to do was contact Storm via e-mail, but for reasons unknown at the time, the address turned out to be invalid. This only added to her confusion and worry. However she continued to try to make contact with the others at the school, but to no avail. It was almost as if they (or she) had fallen off the face of the earth. Bound and determined to figure out what the hell was going on, she'd turned to the message boards and the responses she got to her post were, to say the least, disturbing. The only thing that brought her any comfort at all, was the knowledge that Logan was there too.
He was married. Married. To some woman named Selene, whom she'd never heard of before, even though she had most certainly heard of her. Even knew her 'in another life' supposedly.... She was sure she would've remembered being here before.
Despite not knowing who this woman was or if this was some kind of trick, Rogue decided to take her chances anyway. It wasn't like she couldn't defend herself if it turned out to be trap. Just touching her would cause someone to instantly go into convulsions, and whatever abilities they possessed, Rogue would have access to them. In addition to inheriting their powers (if they had any to begin with), she'd also know what they did.
The address Selene had given to her was clear on the other side of the city, and that's where she had gone.
It had taken her a while to find it and by the time she did, her feet felt raw and blistered. They'd heal once she'd be given the chance to sit and rest for a moment, but it didn't stop them from hurting any less.
Standing on the doorstep of the house that belonged to Logan and the woman named Selene, Rogue reached out with an un-gloved finger and pressed it against the doorbell.
