"I suppose." If he had only known, he wouldn't of wanted his past back. "From the slight bits and pieces I've seen.. maybe it was a blessing in disguise that I didn't remember. I'd always had glimpses of certain things here and there. They've only gotten slightly more vivid."
He took another bite of his sandwich and grabbed another beer. "Not a problem. We can go whenever you want."
Logan chuckled, the only reason Gypsy was still at his feet was because he was feeding her and she knew once Selene left the room she'd probably get more food. Looking at the dog he whispered. "Don't you tell her I gave you this." He plucked off another chunk of meat and tossed it down to her.
Looking over he raised a brow. Why did everyone that knew him think that Jean was something he was uncomfortable talking about. "Okay.. Not really sure here what we're gonna talk about concerning her though."
He was gonna have to iron this out quickly and let her know a few things. "If you think I'm screwed up over this whole stabbing her thing. I'm not, because it never happened. At least not for me anyway. The last time I saw Jean was at Alkali."
After the things that had happened here Logan was a very different man. He'd thought he loved Jean, once upon a time. But it was lust, wanting something he knew he couldn't have. Often he wondered if Scott hadn't challenged him and threatened him if he would of chased after her as hard as he did.
As it was, she chose who she wanted, and it wasn't him. And that fleeting moment in the plane where she saved them all there was one person she said she loved. Again, it wasn't him. There came a time when even Wolverine had to move on. And he had. Why couldn't everyone just deal with that?
Besides, it was kinda nice for once being the one not robbing the cradle so to speak. Logan was considerably older than everyone at the mansion, including the professor. Selene.. well she was a helluva lot older than him, though she looked young.
