At first, I wasn't sure what to make of some of the holiday gifts I received. Two were rather sentimental, and one was something that proved useful prior to my being here. That I've gotten one here is a bit... interesting, to say the least.

Now, to find somewhere to work on my dancing skills.

I have received magnificent gifts as part of these fine Earth celebrations. While we persist in this place, it is welcoming to have pieces of my home and culture and history with me. Keeping Skaði from sampling the mead, however, is proving a greater challenge than I anticipated. She is truly an Asgardian at heart.

And for the record, I am not responsible for the lightning appearing over the mountains.

I know that you have not been fond of this planet's celebrations thus far, but my friends and I are celebrating Christmas together and I count you among those - perhaps you would like to celebrate with us?

Back in my day, Christmas was a family affair. Buck and I think it's only fitting, then, to invite all of you up to our hugely overdecorated condo for Christmas dinner, drinks, and It's a Wonderful Life, a movie I'm given to understand is a holiday classic that's almost as old as me.

Anyone care to explain all this green shite and lights everywhere?

I thought you'd like to know that I talked to Captain. And I'm still alive! He knows that I'm Spider-Man.

Storms, random animals appearing... it seems the latest curve balls from this place aren't nearly as deadly as past ones.

I am relieved to be awake again, and returned to all of you. Despite my sudden absence, I have enough knowledge and understanding to believe that I was directly responsible for what has transpired these last few days, and I am sorry for that. Rest assured that it will not happen again unintentionally, and you are not in any danger from me. I am sworn to protect Earth and its people and that includes all of you, regardless of where you originally hail from. That being said, I imagine that some of you may have questions, and I will do my best to answer them.

I've been having terrible dreams of late. I believe it is an omen.

Some have lost their animals? I hope it not my fault, yesterday I woke up to one sleeping next to me. I did not think I would get one and it is as nice as you have all said.

Now I am thinking it could be because I have got one that some are losing theirs.

I suppose I'll have rig up some sort of swan-friendly enclosure for Alexei, since he's made his intentions to stick around clear. Apparently the weather here is favorable, and he feels I still have quite a bit to learn.

It's nice that the internet has a lot of tips on swan care.

MJ's elephant is gone but Charlotte is still here. Did anyone else have their animals stay?

If Skaði and I are to co-exist without serious disagreement, I believe that I will need to find a bed of equal size to the one already in my room. Skaði and I do not both fit on it comfortably, and it has caused many a discussion - and even a few races - to see who will get the majority of the space each night. And as for the other furniture, she has claimed sovereignty over the seating and I must content myself with a space on the floor, though she does let me rest my back against her throne.

I admit, though, I would be lesser without her presence. It is as if a piece of myself was misplaced without her, and I feel much improved with her constant company - even with the wrestling for control of the bed.

It's funny - I was annoyed about Alexei and his continued commentary on certain personal areas of my life, but now I'm thinking he might be right about one or two points.

I just refuse to tell him that.

I am so fortunate that my uniform is here! It's a bit much, I know, but it is surprisingly comfortable and it oozes confidence and righteousness, don't you think? You know what this place doesn't have enough of? Flags! Good old trusty stars and stripes! God Bess America!
