Dark Dissension is a slightly AU post-Hogwarts game set in 2005. Conflict is brewing again.
-DH Compliant, but not epilogue compliant.
-18+ game.
-Slash/Het friendly.
-NC-17 for themes, subject matter, and violence predominantly.
-Plot & Character based (i.e. smut is NOT a mainstay of play, and is discouraged).
-Mods are friendly and active players.
-We want people who like to play and who play things true to their character (no metagaming).
-We love people willing to cause some IC drama and get messed up!
-OOC Drama will not be tolerated.
-Characters WILL all be up for attack should attack need to happen, there is no bowing out of that, this is war. This does not mean serious injury will occur.

Asphodel: Powdered root of asphodel is used in the Draught of Living Death. This plant is traditionally associated with the afterlife and the underworld.

We are living in a world of uncertainty now. Before, the only worries we truly had were whether or not we would pass our examinations or if the marauders were the ones responsible for turning everyone's hair a nice shade of lilac. But times are changing and things are getting darker out in the real world. A growing army is fast approaching; friends and family members are disappearing more often and there are a growing number of events happening that can no longer be explained easily. All done by he who dare calls himself Lord.

Asphodel is a game focused almost entirely on the war of the late 1970s that threw the entire wizarding world into chaos. With darkening themes and realistic events, it won't be for those who are faint at heart and can't bear to sit back and watch our most beloved characters thrown into the lion's den.

Wanted Characters: Peter Pettigrew, Mary MacDonald, Greta Catchlove, Alecto Carrow, Evan Rosier, Marlene McKinnon, Emmeline Vance, Narcissa Malfoy, Lucius Malfoy, Gideon and Fabian Prewett, Molly and Arthur Weasley, and Death Eaters and Order members would be fabulous...basically, almost all characters are up for grabs!

What if the Prophecy that made Harry Potter the 'Boy who lived' hadn't been given to the Dark Lord? What if a falsified Prophecy had been passed to him instead?

The year is 1995, When Harry, Ron and Hermione return to Hogwarts. A few changes have been made to the staff over the summer, the most noticeable being the new Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor; A Mr. Tom Marvolo Riddle. His new post is widely questioned by the wizarding world; The man has been convicted of murders throughout the seventies, why would Dumbledore hire him to teach young children? Dumbledore simply plays it off saying that he has applied "twice before". That he has not been able to be convicted of anything. Mr. Riddle has, after all, been studying abroad since the 1980's, and is very knowledgeable on his subject.

Not every world can remain to live as perfect as it seems. It has been twenty years since any disturbances has occurred in the Wizarding World, twenty years since the fall of Lord Voldemort and his followers. Rumors circled around for years about the last battle, what had happened, and the talking’s of how Voldemort had tried to stay immortal. Rumors of Horcruxes and the Elder Wand, the Cloak of Invisibility, and the Resurrection stone had plagued the children that read about it in their books as they began their education.

But curiosity had stayed with many of the students, especially those with quests for power and immortality, or even those with a streak of recklessness in their blood. The murmurings of the Resurrection Stone the great Harry Potter had dropped somewhere on the grounds began flooding through the remaining Pure Blooded Slytherin students, children of those that had been present during the years of the second war. A small group has began to form within the walls of Hogwarts, through a new generation, and this time, it has not stayed within the house of green and silver, in the confines of those that worship the Serpent.

Initium is a new beginning. Lord Voldemort is dead and the wizarding world is picking up the pieces left in his wake. The muggle-born registration has ended and they no longer live in hiding. The ministry is no longer in turmoil. Hogwarts is reopening. All is right with the world?

In the wake of Lord Voldemorts demise, the death eaters have claimed to be Imperiused or otherwise coerced into service in his name. Some have been released into society, now better citizens. Among that group was Rodolphus Lestrange. He has become very active in the ministry and is considering a run for political office, standing up for the order, doing what is right in society. Things are not always as they appear. The death eaters have reformed underground and are quietly building their army again under Lestrange's guidance, unbeknownst to the world.

Meanwhile Hogwart's is flourishing. Due to the disasters of the last year, the students have been invited back for a proper 7th year and a proper education. It is a shortened year but it gives then the opportunity to make up what they missed and take the exams that will help them continue on into their careers. The parents think that it is a good idea, especially those of muggleborn children who had to leave the school last year. The DA is a welcome organization and the students may feel free to join. It isn't hidden but honored. Below the surface though, the DE children will also organize and will build again. Leading in the seventh year, they are now pushed underground but they never stay there for long.

Initium is an intricately woven game where spies for either side, run rampant as battle lines are again drawn. Each side, both in the wizarding world and at school are gearing up for yet another round. Who will win in the new world is anybody's guess.

Many characters for DE, Order, Ministry, and students for all houses are needed and wanted.
