Drinking and Dealing (Sweeney)

Everything in this city was weird. Elizabeth couldn't get over that. Nothing was what it seemed and she was pretty sure there was no way to get back to reality. What happened with Will? And the war? Did any of the pirates survive? Did Barbosa double cross them in the end? Elizabeth didn't want to think on it too much, it would just depress her in the end. The snow was annoying as hell and she kept having to break ice off the deck, railings, and riggings of the pearl. She did not need it to sink under the weight. It was the only thing that reminded her of home these days.

Elizabeth finally stepped down onto the docks and stuffed her hands into her jacket, it was cold, but she wanted to go find some more rum. She started down the docks and off into the city. One turn, two, she knew this by heart now. Course, the City kept changing things on her as well. Where the hell was that bar? She went around another corner and nearly ran right into someone. She tipped her hat and kept going. By the sea it was cold.

Elizabeth finally found what she was looking for and headed inside. She scraped the snow off her boots at the door and sauntered over to the bar. The Bartender as already pouring her a glass of rum. Elizabeth sat down on the stool and fixed her sword belt. Before she nodded with a smile at the bartender. "Please keep them coming good sir." She took some money out of her pocket and laid it on the bar in front of her. She looked down the bar. There was a flash of red hair for a moment, almost familiar. Elizabeth shrugged it off and tipped the first shot of rum back.

She was turning into an alcoholic. Honestly.

Not Working for Once (Wilson)

Cameron thought it was a very good idea to take Wilson out to dinner. The poor newest dean of medicine was a bit overwhelmed, even with all the help she gave with paperwork. At least her charts were always filed away properly, and her records immaculate, but it wasn't that big of a help. It was just some saving grace that kept House from returning to stage a coup over Wilson. Still, Wilson needed a nice dinner and someone to talk to. Cameron had always liked Wilson, even at his worst, he was a nice guy. Maybe too nice. But then he'd accuse her of the same.

Cameron had been in a delightful mood ever since running into Dean. And now she wanted to spread that happiness. Maybe she was getting back to something normal in her life. Maybe she just thought Wilson could use a good meal and a drink. Either way, she'd told him where to meet her, the nicest little resturant she'd found in the City. They had a very good selection of food, as well as drink. She'd even dressed up. Wearing a dress wasn't something she did for everyone, she hardly did for Chase when they were.. well screwing around. But she thought Wilson would appreciate seeing someone in something beside a uniform.

Cameron was seated near the window, in a small booth. She'd already ordered a glass of wine, and there was fresh bread waiting on the table. She checked her cell phone again to check the time. Maybe Wilson was running late from work? She didn't mind it, she had a smile on her face.

House would have assumed they were having sex. Or worse. Cameron laughed to herself over it when she heard the door of the resturant and she peered over her shoulder. Hopefully he wasn't still wearing his white coat.

Teacher/Student conferences (Open to teachers and students)

The City wasn't too up to speed on a lot of things that humans required in their daily lives. It liked order, and it liked rules. It also liked bending things around to fit whatever it wanted it to that particular day. But one thing that it was very sure of was that kids needed to go to school. In order for kids to go to school, they had to have teachers.

The concept of parent/teacher conferences was something that it had come across recently. It didn't quite grasp the idea that the parents were supposed to talk to the teachers and find out what their kids were doing, and if they were passing or having problems. It just thought that it was a time to get everyone in one room. Thus, it thought, it could be the same thing to have student/teacher conferences and accomplish the same thing.

It sent out a flier to all the school-aged kids that it had brought in as well as the adults he knew did teaching things within the City's walls. It hadn't previously realized how many of them it had collected, seeing the list of names, it became a little excited. Not to mention a little bit proud of itself. It was furthering the education of the youths!

There was absolutely no consideration to the fact that it was snowing very hard outside, and very few if any of these people had a vehicle. All it cared about was getting them all in the same room.

Books for Charlie (Narrative)

It was her day off, and Jennifer found herself running around town doing some errands. For the first time in her entire life, she actually liked doing errands. Maybe it was due to the lack of advertising everywhere. The fact that there existed off-brand products at all.

Not to mention, she was kind of starting to like the snow. It was cold, sure, but it was a lot of fun, too. She couldn't help but smile as she passed by children and their snow creations, or laugh when she artfully dodged the giant snowball fight that she saw.

Her last errand was going to the library. She'd told Charlie that she'd get him the book about young Hannibal Lecter, and she was determined to. Just so he could know. While she was there, she picked up the other ones to read again for herself, just because. She'd been a fan before, she wanted to know what it would feel like to have the younger version in the same place she was while she was reading it. She'd have to read the newest one, too. She only knew about it from looking at things on the computer, she had no idea how it read.

As she walked in high spirits to the office, she passed a pet store. With a grin, she ducked inside and about twenty minutes later popped back out with a small bowl containing a very pretty male betta and a bag of food to put in the fridge. It only occurred to her that she might have started off with a goldfish after she was at the office doors.

Jennifer really hoped that Charlie knew how to take care of a betta.

She left the fish and the books on his desk and the food in the freezer part of their small fridge before heading home again. Hopefully Jake would like the large fresh tuna she'd bought at the grocery store.
