With Moriarty dead, Galen visited Gaia often to ensure she remained safe and unharmed. So far, it seemed such. Though he did not want to constantly pester her with his worry. Which was why that night he had stayed in at his room in the complex, boredly reading the boards and looking up odd things on that Youtube site. Some of which was funny (he rather enjoyed the Star Wars Cello Wars bit Jacen had shown a few months back) others more serious. But then one video caught his eye and it was of Gaia. A small smile formed on his face and he clicked on it.
Oh how he knew she only viewed his as a friend with benefits and little more. But he did not care too much about that. She didn't view him as a potential Jedi or Sith, nor as a slave or free man. He was simply Galen to her, someone that would protect her and could give her pleasure. In return, to his eyes, she showed him what it was like to be loved and cared for. Deception or illusion or whatever kriffing else it could be called, he didn't care. She cared in her own way. And for Galen in this place, that was enough.
Once the clip had loaded he watched it, recognizing the other woman in it as Xena...though it wasn't her. It soon became clear that the woman was more than just a mere friend by the way Gaia stared at her and the images the music and video held. But towards the end, when he saw the red wig on the floor he felt fear grip him and seconds later Gaia's slain body was found by the other woman. Galen couldn't stop the anger he felt and barely managed to keep some semblence of a lid on it. He shut the video off and looked Gaia up on the computer, needing to know how she died. Doing it didn't improve his mood and tendrils of his anger broke through his masking his presence in the Force but only just.
Feeling too angry to just sit, he grabbed his lightsaber and fled the complex, heading towards the darker parts of town. He would seek out Moriarty's remaining men and find them, slaughter them...rip them apart. He knew doing so was a darker path but he doubted meditation would do any good. He wanted blood and as that bastard who took Gaia's life wasn't in Lawrence, he might as well guide his anger to a way more productive. And ridding Lawrence of a few dozen killers would prove useful, right?
So he walked on the streets with deadly purpose, his mind of singular focus.
