The fact that Galen had not yet drawn his weapon was proof he still had some measure of control. At least the things she'd been teaching him had taken some root. And she was very glad that he wasn't falling so quickly to the anger. There was still hope that words would be enough to pull him back from this. But of course, Mara wasn't naive enough to think that she could get out of this without resorting to using Force abilities to snap him out of it. She would lay a smackdown on him if she had to.
Though his next words brought something unexpected. He mentioned Gaia. That was the woman who had been working for Moriarty, wasn't it? Mara had read about that on the boards. But what was the connection between Gaia and Galen? He'd never spoken to her about Gaia before. "What did Moriarty do to Gaia?" Perhaps if she got him to talk about that more, she could get him to tell him why he was so angry without him realizing it.
"I can't let you, Galen. You should know that." She wasn't going to let him shed blood in anger, even if Moriarty's men deserved it. To kill in anger was a bad thing, and she wasn't about to let Galen do this to himself.
