WHO: All characters involved with the former thread!
WHAT: Demons attack!
WHEN: Evening; after the demons show up here.
WHERE: Lawrence, Kansas.
RATING: Definite violence. Language is also a given.
NOTES: Part two of the plot! All efforts at fending the demons off will go here. Each team should post in a subthread with a limit of SEVEN demons to take care of distributed between each group so that, eventually, there will be an end to the attack! Your characters can trap them, drive them off, and/or if they have the appropriate materials and company, even exorcise them. Have at it!

"Close off the lobby! Now!"

The bodies of the three exorcised demons lay scattered across the front entrance. Nodding off to the boy that Sam thought to be Ron Weasley, Sam motioned for him to find some way to drag the bodies out of the way so that they could appropriately set up protections for what was bound to come at them. The demons had said it themselves: they were trapped. They had nowhere to run. They were coming.

With limited supplies on hand, it was painfully obvious that they couldn't secure the whole building down. There wasn't enough time. However, if they rationed out their portions carefully, there would be more than enough rock salt to block off the beginnings of the building. They'd just have to trap themselves into the front while they worked on appropriate ways to dispose of the demons headed their way. Scattering the supplies out with rushed orders based on what to do with what and where to put it, everyone began to set to work in a panic stricken frenzy. Some seemed confused. Others? Determined. And Sam had no doubt that every person there, including himself, happened to be scared.

But that was war. And right now? They were in the middle of what Sam believed to be the beginning of many of the battles that were to come.

The jeers and howls quickly came from the exterior of the building. The demons were standing outside. Taunting. Waiting. Banging on doors and windows, desperate and eager to get in all at once. The scene was a familiar one. They were trapped, they had no supplies save for what they had been able to grab from the Impala, and they were outnumbered.

Acting quickly seemed like it was going to play key to their survival. With a bag of salt in hand, Sam dashed up to the front entrance and began to throw it down at the doors. He had nearly gotten all the way across before the door that he had been working at burst open and the salt that he'd been working at throwing down was flung from his hands. A man with black eyes immediately charged his way into the room, looking absolutely gleeful that he had beat Sam out to sealing him and his buddies from the building. Others were quick to break their way inside, soon leaving everyone within the building with no choice but to up and defend themselves.

Legs sprawled out across the rock salt that had been tossed onto the ground, Sam rolled onto his side just in time to avoid being kicked in the face by a steel toed boot. A pair of vicious black eyes stared down at him, the demon whose boot nearly smashed Sam's face in looking as though he would prefer to do nothing more than see him die a painful and bloody death. Fingers closing around a handful of the rock salt scattered behind him, Sam drew his arm back and hurled the salt into the demons face. It staggered back in horror, giving Sam just enough time to shove himself back onto his feet. From there, he whipped out a flask of holy water and, as he did with the rock salt, took aim for the demons face.

If not for the drastic number of people surrounding him at that point, Sam would have spread his arm out to send the demon straight back to Hell where they both stood right then and there. Not wanting to risk making himself on their list of people to be wary of, however, Sam instead chose to shove the demon into a finished trap. He was on the verge of sputtering out an exorcism when another grabbed him from behind and slammed him into the wall with a rough shove.

Andrew's eyes went wide at the demons, but that didn't last for long. He usually had that split second of shock when bad guys showed up like this, but after the years he'd spent working with Buffy and the gang, he'd gotten his reaction time way up from how he used to just... freeze and flail a bit.

He wasn't a fighter though, at least he was willing to be honest about that. That's what the rest of his team back home was for, or what the slayers were for at least. So, Andrew turned to focus on the one that was trapped. He bit his lip for a moment, trying to remember how the exorcism started, but once he got that bit down the rest came easily. After all, this was the guy that took less than two weeks to memorize the entire Klingon dictionary. Memorizing exorcisms wasn't that hard, especially since the English language had it's roots in Latin.

As he spouted out the words, Andrew shoved a hand into his pocket to pull out the small vial of holy water he had on him. When he finished the exorcism he was glad to see the black smoke leaving through the mouth of the poor victim.

When she'd heard the commotion, she'd gone right to the source. At first, she'd actually expected someone from her. Lestrange, but no, it was demons, and that thought was actually more scary. She could only hope where ever the rest of her family was, they were safe. They would be, they could hold her own.

The person she recognized right away was Sam. This was the second time she'd gone up against demons when he was around. But why wasn't he doing that crazy mind power he had? Was it a mind power? The look she gave Sam as she pulled out her wand was clearly one that said, 'what are you waiting for?' Was there a reason he couldn't do that, or was this supposed to be a test for them? Normally she didn't mind pop quizzes, but then again, normally they wouldn't actually kill her, no matter how much she was sometimes convinced they would.

The other man who had recited the exorcism. She knew every single phrase and word, she had studied it over, and over again. Had hearing it help her click it into place? Her wand out, jets of light went flying at a demon. Just as she expected, the body bind didn't work, at least not fully.

But if Bellatrix could make the killing curse work, surly she could make this work? Focused, she fired again as the demon struggled to move, coming closer toward. She stepped back with every move that the demon made forward. Again, she fired. Again, the movements became more stiff. That was three times. Once more, and the demon looked like it was trying to open its mouth. "Shut it." she said, firing off the curse again, and causing the body of the demon to fall over, paralyzed and unable to move, which meant it couldn't get out, trapped in its own skin.

Ducking down, Sam narrowly managed to avoid being slugged in the face. The demons fist instead found the wall and, from the sheer strength behind the blow, vanished within the hole in the wall that it had created with its punch. As it attempted to wrench its arm free, Sam dug his fingers into it's hair and slammed the creatures head into the wall with a rough push. Struggling to keep it pinned, Sam quickly began to mutter the words to the exorcism. The demons head jerked to the right as soon as the stream of Latin escaped his mouth and a cry of fear was quick to follow. Good. Be afraid.

As the smoke streamed from the creatures mouth, Sam glanced over his shoulder to observe the activity spread out around them. Andrew was taking care of the demon he had trapped, Rose had just put one down, and the others were grouping together. Carefully, Sam eased the body in his arms to the ground, knowing that there was a very good chance that there was someone still alive in there now that the demon within was finally gone.

"Andrew!" Sam pointed off to the body that Rose had just put down. From what he had already witnessed, Andrew could handle the job well enough.

Another demon was on him fast. Sam found that it was more difficult than he expected, trying to fight them without using his abilities. Still, he held up. There were few in the room right now that had seen him go at it that way and Sam really wanted to keep it that way for as long possible.

Paige ducked when a demon went swinging wildly at her. So much for peaceful afternoon of taking the place in, she thought sarcastically to herself. Twisting quickly out of it's way, she popped up behind it, and gave out a fierce mutter of "Trap." Sending the demon orbing straight into a demon's trap.

She barely took two steps before one grabbed her arm and Paige used the momentum to punch the demon right in the face and sending it stumbling back. She might not be Phoebe but she could hold her own with the physical. Even if she was pretty certain she'd just broke her knuckle against that demon's teeth. However, she didn't pause. She notice-Rose-hexing a demon's and Sam's shot to Andrew. They had no time to run around back and forth, "Body. Andrew." Her hand held out and the body materialized from where it was from right to Andrew's feet.

Pulling a few vials of Holy Water out of her pocket, Paige made with the throwing-no place too hurtful, because she was always, always conscience of the fact that these were humans-very careful to avoid hitting Ruby. Even as she did so she would orb every odd couple of one toward, Rose, the one with wand or Andrew with the excorism.

Once again, she was grabbed at, this time by the hair. Really. No matter what the dimension, demons lacked in orginality. Pissed, she jabbed it with her elbow for good measure, before orbing herself away.

A demon appearing infront of her had thrown her off, too close, too close. When it came to physical fights, it wasn't really her thing. People had tried to teach her how to throw punches, but it was just...not her. Physical fighting wasn't her area. So she had expected a punch to the mouth, effectively splitting her lip, or to be thrown back into the wall with a crack and a slight gasp for air.

Still, she was like her mother. Even when in a pinch, she didn't stop thinking. She knew the demon was approaching her fast, and wand raised, she put all of her effort into it. She really meant it, and she really meant it when she hit the demon with the spell, twice. "Imperio." she said, and then again. Move into the trap she commanded the demon. She could feel it fighting against her. It wasn't a strong hold, and it wasn't going to last.

The demons movements were shaky at best, but for now it had to do what she said. As long as it could hold off for a few seconds, Rose would have it in the trap. The second the demon had crossed into the trap, she released the spell, and pushed herself to her feet.

She wanted to try this on her own though. This one had hit her, why not see if she could return the favor. With a flick of her wand, she conjured the exorcism on a piece of paper infront of her. She'd learned a lot of latin through spells, many of these words were familiar to her. The list was infront of her, but only for reference. She kept her eyes peeled for any other demons as she began to recite the exorcism, only glancing down once or twice to make sure she didn't mess up, as black smoke started to come forth from the body.

Meta-humans gone dangerously wrong was one thing, but demons— real demons, right there for you to see— was another. He knew; Bart knew that this place wasn’t a playground and that it wasn’t for the faint of heart, wasn’t somewhere you’d want to bring the kids for a vacation if you weren’t planning on traumatizing them for life. He hadn’t been living in his own world, where everything was bunny rabbits and cotton candy. He knew better than to keep his eyes closed to things and he knew enough to never think that nothing would go wrong when you least expected it to.

However, demons were one of those things that he’d never had to deal with. They were new and so completely alien to him that he actually went rigid when a set of black eyes turned to stare at where he was standing. Standing still was a rare thing to seem him doing and it didn’t last. It never lasted.

He wasn’t afraid of letting anything get in close to him. Not a fist and not a speeding bullet and right now, not even a demon. Watching the others nearby from the corners of his eyes kept him aware and in the loop and as he held them in close vicinity, he let one of the demons lunge, tried not to flinch. He was close enough to feel the thing’s breath on his face, close enough to see the colorless eyes and the sneering mouth. For a second, a moment, the world seemed to be moving impossibly slow. He felt like he could do a thousand things during that fleeting period of time, but chose to get the hell out of there instead.

His vanishing act was abrupt enough to send the demon smashing into a wall instead of into him. Seeing it shake itself off, Bart was half tempted to run circles around it, or to send his fist smashing into it’s face at speeds that would put any car to shame. Not wanting to severely hurt the human that might still be alive in the body stopped him from acting without thinking it through. He didn't want to kill it.

It wasn't until Sam spotted a demon sneaking up behind Paige that he snapped on his stance as far as holding back with the abilities went. The black-eyed creature threw itself at the smaller woman, arms spread out, a gleeful expression plastered across its face - and then, suddenly, without warning, it fell to a stop. Hands rising up to clutch at it's throat, the demon staggered back and started to choke.

Sam was standing a few feet away from the demon. Arm spread out, eyes glaring off at the monster, he focused on pulling the demon straight from its host. Black smoke riled up from within the demons throat, causing the host to choke and gag until the smoke finally spilled from the body. Swirling dangerously around the skin that it had once worn, the demons essence sank to the ground and vanished within a brief lick of hellfire.

Arm sliding back to his side, Sam glanced out anxiously to ensure that no one had seen him. There were a few who already had, but he wasn't so worried about them. It was the general outlook that concerned him at the moment. Pulling out his bottle of holy water, Sam stepped back and tried to ease his way back into the fray as normally (or as normal as one could manage in a fight like this) as possible.

Ruby looked around at those that surrounded her, the demons ready for the fight, they'd brought it to them at a very inconvenient time. But she was hardly going to bitch to Lilith about timing.

"So, not so much an easy way to say this, Any virgins that feel particularly unattached to their internal organs?" she asked, joking mostly, but there were other spells she could do she was sure. Less death inducing ones. But none right now.

She removed the knife, her knife from the holster at her hip. Dean wasn't getting her favourite toy for this fight. Looking over she realised Sam hadn't closed the lobby off in time and her eyes shifted to black ready for the fight she knew was coming.

She turned to those that were nearest her. The Slayer, Booth aka the genius with the holy water, Sam's almost one night stand and the Doctor, Martha Jones.

"Right. All of you, you're with me. Holy Water, how many of you are packing, and just for the record, if you accidently hit me with it, I'm gonna be cranky but if you can get a shot at a demon that isn't me. Take it. Anyone with weapons, use them, shoot to disable the hosts if you have to, not kill, and tell me right now. Any of you not wearing a possession amulet, one, you're an idiot and two, you're a liability. Stay in the middle of the group, and if you see black smoke coming toward you, holler real loud and I'll try come and save your ass. Buffy. You're the best trained on tactics we have, any ideas?"

Any ideas Buffy might have had would need to be shouted over the sounds of the starting fight.

"Whore" came a snarling voice to her left and Ruby rolled her eyes and lashed out with the knife, better that than letting the assembled see how strong she was demonicly. She'd try and get them towards Sam, he should be able to deal with this no problem.

"Virgins?" she repeated as she looked at Ruby calmly. Clearly she was missing the joke, and she wanted to know what was going on. Of course, there were the more important things to worry about.

Buffy looked at the people around her. She didn't really know them that well. FBI, doctor...Lois Lane? Weirdest fight. Ever. When the first demon got to her, she blocked a blow, and connected her fist to the demons jaw. They never did expect a human to have supernatural strength it seemed. "We can all fight." she noted. FBI and, from what she knew, a soldier who fought against aliens, should be able to defend themselves for a short time. "At least I've heard you can." she said, glancing at Lois as she watched the other demons approaching, and she tried to keep them from getting close. Why the hell wasn't Superman with Lois anyway? Would be useful.

"I'd suggest Holy Water, and ass kicking. I'd also suggest one of us stays behind the rest. Whoever can drawn a devils trap the fastest, and correctly, do it." and then she looked over at Ruby as she took off a flask a holy water that was clipped to her belt. "How come you get to use your knife on them?" when the hell had knives become alright to use? "They're either going to back off if we hurt them too much, or we can kick their asses into the trap." it sure would have been useful to have these traps done.

But they'd need to hold them to recite the exorcism, if anyone could. They weren't supposed to kill, except for Ruby apparently. They either fought them off until they left, or they drew a trap, forced them and, and held them to they could be exorcised. "That's my suggestion anyway. Always open to other ideas." If they trapped them, good. If the demons ran, she and the others lived to see another day. Dying was not about to happen. "Or, into one of the rooms. Someone, seal off the exists with salt except for the door. Maybe we can trap them in there." Then they'd be out here, and someone could exorcise them. Yeah, the demons could hear her, but sneaky was sort of out at the moment.

"I'm no slayer, but I can fight," Lois said with a bit of a smirk as the demon Buffy had slugged stumbled back towards her. It wasn't that Lois wasn't terrified, because she really was. But over the years she had gotten good at hiding her fear for the most part. Comes with the territory when you've got a dad that will give you shit for being scared.

Aside from the obvious wish that the demons weren't there just then, Lois wished for two things. One was a gun. She was great with a gun, though her hand to hand wasn't really anything to scoff at either. The other was that shooting them wouldn't hurt the people that they possessed. But, it looked like she wasn't about to get either of those wishes just then, was she?

Once the demon that probably now had a broken jaw got close enough, Lois planted a swift kick to his ribs, knocking it away once more.

Booth flashed Ruby an innocent apologetic grin when she mentioned holy water." I remember I remember." He reassured as he hurriedly gathered the supplies needed for the trap and mused to the others exactly what he learned. " First rule. Don't hit the demon with it who's saving your ass." Honestly. One time. First demon ever. He was never going to hear the end of it, but at least now he was learning. He was picking up pretty quickly what not to do. Not to assume anything. D.C. was different. In every way. "That leaves me with traps and Latin." Who knew one day he'd be using Latin he learned in church to exorcise demons. Ironic.

"Still got plenty of holy water." He said distractedly as he started drawing the traps on the floor while the others kept the demons back. His hands were shaky as he tried to block the sounds of the fight and screeching demons and concentrate. The symbols had to be accurate. It wasn't like he'd drawn them a bunch of times, damn this was weird.

"Toward the trap!" He called to the group. Happy he brought along the cheat sheet exorcism Jo had sent him, the demon Lois had kicked away was just unlucky and landed there. Booth read the Latin as quickly as he could until he saw the black smoke leaving the mouth. He stumbled over a word as he stared and swore under his breath. Backing up, he repeated the line and it continued.

The UNIT training took over and Martha blocked one blow from one of the black-eyed men coming near her, twisting his arm behind his back and delivering a kick to the back of the knees, driving him to the floor. She pinned him with her right arm, any movement from him would have him dislocating his own shoulder. Well, the host's shoulder anyway.

Then she reached into her pocket for the card she had laminated, the Latin exorcism she'd been learning more of every night since she'd arrived. Latin was nothing new to her, she'd learned every bone in the human body, as well as diseases, both human and alien. The anti-possession amulet hung next to her dogtags as she recited the words, glancing at the card every line or so to make sure she was getting it right. The demon in her grip began to struggle as the black smoke began to creep out of its mouth. Martha kept going, even as it left her back vulnerable to attack, relying on the others to keep the other demons away from her.

Ruby watched the little group fight, moving a little ways away when they started on the Latin, the battle was loud enough it wasn't an issue and they seemed forcused on specific demons. But even so. It wasn't worth the risk, Slicing the knife into the demons shoulder she looked over at Buffy.

"I'm not going deep enough to kill, besides sometimes there are casulties in war when it can't be helped. This, can be helped, it'll just hurt him. Really a lot. More than most things". The demon screamed, cursing her as he clutched his shoulder and Ruby leaned in close to him grabbing him by that same shoulder "Doesn't it?" she confirmed before throwing him toward the trap Andrew had just made careful not to step in it herself. This done she returned to the fight knife still in hand, black eyes causing the demons to stare at her disgustedly.

"Remember the orders" one snarled as Martha started her exorcism "Capture the newcomers, kill this bitch and the brothers. Lilith wants their heads"

Shrugging, she was just going to have to take her word for it. At least someone had listened and drew a devils trap. Because Latin? Not so much her thing. Buffy could hardly string a few French words together, and she taken it all through school.

Ducking a blow, she swept one leg out, knocking a demon flat on its ass, before literally jumping up, and dragging it with one neat tug right into the devils trap along with the other one, where it could stay with the others.

When she turned back around, she squared off with another one who had come at her while she was turned. It landed a kick square in her stomach, and while she sumtbled back slightly, if it hurt Buffy, she showed no signs of it, just kept on going with her own attack as if it hadn't really happened.

Her flask of holy water open, she flicked her wrist to send some flying, before returning the kick to the gut while the water distracted the black eyed man infront of her.

Well, if nothing else, Lois could be glad that there were some others in her little group that seemed to be doing alright with the Latin, because it was not her strong point.

Lois hadn't brought any holy water with her. Hell, she didn't have her amulet on thanks to storming out, nice and mad at Clark, but she decided to just... not say anything about that and act like she was just fine in this situation. Even though on the inside she was freaking the fuck out.

She saw the blonde woman (Buffy? Spuffy? Something like that.) fighting another demon and, while she had it distracted by the holy water and not quite sure in it's footing, Lois moved to his side and rammed into him with her shoulder hard, sending it stumbling towards that devil's trap.

Latin was all part of the alter boy gig. Not like he was about to let everyone in the world know where it came from though. There wasn't time for that. One by one as the fighters sent the demons to the trap, Booth recited the Latin. Who knew by the end of the day he might not even need the cheat sheet. Assuming they made it that far.

There were so many things to focus on, it was hard to keep an eye on everything- so he struggled at times. The poor victims in the traps deserved more. He forced himself not to watch, not to try to analyze and rationalize. There could be time for that later. Right now he wanted to keep everyone safe. A few beads of sweat gathered on his forehead as he continued. This time more focused, more determined. He was going to get it right, there was no room for mistakes. A demon that had nearly missed the trap reached out to him, it nearly tore the sheet in his hand. Booth jerked back and landed a swift kick to the demon's rib cage. Pushing it more into the trap and continuing the enchantment until the smoke left it's mouth again. Another one down. How many more were left?

The demon finally left the body with a scream of black smoke, but Martha didn't have time to check on the now free host. She released his arm and quickly turned, ducking one blow before bringing her elbow up to the next demon's throat.

She reached for the flask on holy water at her side, throwing some directly into the eyes of her attacker. As he stumbled back she started on the Latin again before he recovered too quickly, delivering a firm punch to her own jaw. Martha went down, even if she managed a firm kick to his lower leg, sending him flying backward and into the Trap with the others.

"Right," she flexed her jaw a couple of times. It would be bruised but not broken.

"Let's try this again." She stood and faced the trap, wondering for the first time if she could exorcise multiple demons at once as she once again started on the Latin.

The last thing she had expected was to be...leading? How had this happened. But they were surrounded, they were in trouble, and even if she wasn't one of them, she was the only one out of the people immediately around her who had any experience. And couldn't actually die in this situation. She looked at the people closest to her calmly and quickly. She could tell some of them were different. Not quite what she would be use to from her world, not not quite...normal. Two magic users, a..man, as far as she could tell, and the last one. Anna locked eyes with the dark haired man last, sensing something...not quite what she had expected to.

"You, and you." she said, looking at the magic users, "I don't know what power your packing, but see if you can keep them back." they were going to have to learn on their own. She would step in if needed, but this was their fight. They had to do it. "If you can hold them, still, that would be helpful. If anyone has learned the exorcism, speak up now."

"Holy water." she added, "Those who have it, arm yourself. Those who can fight, upfront. Those with magic, keep back, and use it. I'll keep the black smoke from you, but you had better all be wearing your charms." she instructed.

Anna didn't bother to explain who she was, but there was something about her. Something commanding that said they would be in a world of trouble if they didn't listen, and act swiftly and carefully. Her eyes fell on the dark haired man, the one she was getting the less than pleasant feeling from. "I don't know who you are." she said, speaking to him alone, "But I hope you're standing on the side you want to be on." because there was something just dark about him. She didn't like it.

And the demons were closing in, and Anna's attention shifted to them, and how the others would handle them.

James went straight for the source when he heard the commotion, running fast to where everything was.

He'd just come in time for the 'keep back' for magic users. Like hell. Yet as much as James disliked following orders, he was smart enough to know that now wasn't the time for arguing. Not with his aunt not too far from him and his cousin across the room. Where was uncle Ron, he wondered agitatedly? And Lily. Lily had come too right? He immediately felt as if he had failed in something drastic and to something unknown that he hadn't thought to check up on where she was. If anything happened to her ...

Grudgingly, very, very grudgingly James did as he was told. He knew that their magic work differenatly but he didn't know how different. Better now than never. Hitting a body-bind, nothing. He did it again. Nothing. Well, bloody fucking hell. He wasn't quite liking how the demon was grinning at him, smug and cocksure. Putting all his irritation and focus into, he threw it too more in rapid succession and the demon twitched before falling down, stone-cold. Neither demon or human was going anywhere.

But there had to be something better. Something easier. He spotted his aunt 'Mione and made his way to her. Hopefully she had an idea. On his way, James made do with the body-bind and the simpler, and much easier to hurl at the demons, the Leg-Lock Curse. A few that went down because of the latter he managed to squirt with holy water. And who said he didn't pay attention?

Keep them back. Well there was one easy way to start with that. Hermione drew her wand and held it out, casting the spell quickly. "Protego"

The shield was cast, though much weaker than usual, the once bright light barely more than a shimmer. Alright then, Hermione had heard that the spells were weaker here, she could adapt.

She fired off a succession of Stunning spells, hitting one demon with four in a matter of seconds, not pausing for breath between hits.

With the nearest one now on the ground, Hermione made her way over to her nephew. She had no idea what had happened to Ron, or her daughter or niece and she tried not to feel too sick with worry. Malfoy wasn't here, that much she knew and briefly regretted. He wouldn't have felt any qualms about throwing a few Unforgivables at the demons. But he was probably off hunting his Aunt and Greyback.

Was an Unforgivable still unforgivable in the circumstances? She bit her lip in a moment of hesitation.

"Someone better be ready with an exorcism," she called out before focusing her wand again, dreading what she was about to do. The demon looked at her with a smirk, already standing after the Stunning spells. Hermione took a deep breath before casting.

"Imperio"

Stay still. Don't move. She sent the command through the Controlling curse, hoping to Merlin it would work.

Damien was a bit perplexed as the woman spoke directly to him. He couldn't help but feel something different about her. Wasn't sure it was a comfortable feeling... it was similar to how he felt whenever he got close to a church. He rubbed his neck briefly and replied, as he was still healing from the attack the other night, "Yes.. I do want to be on.. this side. I want them to go back to Hell. My name is Damien."

He watched as the witch cast her spells, and the male too. Now that was impressive. Probably would be even more so if they were back in their own world. He could probably cause some sort of explosion to take out these demonized hosts... but then, that wasn't right. Not for this side. Had to do a different way. He seriously hoped the demon that attacked him hadn't blabbed to Lilith and the others by now. He had a flask in his hand, and carefully unscrewed it. He wasn't sure how holy water would react to him in this reality. Best not to take chances.

He pointed to the one in front of him, glaring as some liquid got onto the man's face.. and yelled out. It looked just like a guy splashed with water, but the man acted like it was corrosive acid. So, it did work! He took advantage of that, kicked to the side of the knee, pressing down on it so the knee touched the ground, then grabbed the man by the hair. While the host struggled, cursing and speaking about how much fun it will be to kill them all, Damien held the flask above him... and let some of the water drip down into the man's throat.

Figuring that this bought some time at best, he then let go, grabbed a chair and headed a few steps back.. prepared to use it if needed. And he still had some water left. About half empty. "I can make the bodies.. um, sorta restrained." Paralysis, but he chose not to elaborate. "Problem is, the demons in them very likely can override their hosts motor functions after a few seconds, or it might be ten minutes.. I dunno, never dealt with this before, least not with help."

"Has anyone learned the exorcism yet?" she asked, looking around at them all. None of them had thought of using the Devil's Trap, or maybe they were all new enough not to know? Either way, she said nothing, waiting to see if anyone knew the exorcism before she would step in and simply kill the demon inside herself.

Anna glanced at Damien as he spoke. She didn't like what she saw, what she felt. For some reason she believed that he was maybe on the wrong side, and yet he fought. "So then your abilities would be like everyone else who is new. Not as strong, hard to judge." it was nothing new, but why he had these powers, she didn't know.

Though it seemed like at least one of the demons was going to insist on attacking her. "Mixing with the humans, are we?" one asked, as he approached. She didn't bother to answer as the demon attacked. The first punch the demon landed, the second Anna blocked with one arm as her other hand raised, palm setting down on the demons hosts head. White light flooded the body, and the demon screamed as the power of heaven destroyed him, falling to his knees.

The body dropped, the rest of the way, she she let it. Hopefully the person inside would survive. Looking over her shoulder, her eyes fell on the female witch, wondering if the spell was going to hold. She'd only said the last one once, Anna had a feeling that it wasn't going to last.

Even if this was Hermione Granger.

Religious or not, Anna had read the books as a human.

Right. There was a lot of things James was willing to sacrifice for the good fight. To deal with. Stupid uncles. Irritating know-it-all cousins. Irritating know-it-all muggles. Malfoy. The last one was barely but it was doing done. However, learning? Actively? That was pushing it all beyond sense. Which might have been a bit of a surprise when James stepped forward, and semi-raise his hand like he was still in school. He felt like an idiot but he also felt no need to yell it across in a room full of demons. What? He was a wizard, Latin was kind of a must. And he'd always been good at his Defence of the Dark Arts. Scarily good, he was his parents son after all. And this? Was what it was, what he reminded himself as spent a perfectly good summer catching up from Rose. Not like he had much else to do ...

At Damien's comment, James looked at him questioningly, curiously, assessing and judging, all those good ones, all in one go from the corner of his eye. He wasn't a wizard. That much was for sure. Or if he was, he was a really stupid one. His wand wasn't out. So James was to curious as to how this restraining thing would work.

Then the demon spoke, and really this evening was just interesting comments galore. When everyone stopped finding it necessary to cut off what he was going to say, James said. "Send them my way and I'll do it." Not elaborating what 'it' was, and even as he said the words, he sent out a locking curse and took a step closer to Hermione. Making it clear that he would always a few steps behind her, so if for some strange reason they didn't spot him, they would send the demons in her general direction and James would handle them. Just because he wasn't leaving the younger version of his aunt out of sight didn't mean that he could hex and exorcise as well. He could multi-task.

This was not good, not good at all. They hadn't really been planning on being full out attacked and resources for this sized group was more than strained. She'd ended up in one of the studio style apartments with a group, a line of rock salt in front of the door holding at bay for the moment the three demons that paced along it. She knew who Ron was and a bit about Jaina, not that Jo had much idea what kind of powers a Jedi had minus what she could remember from the movies. John and Harry were unknowns to her though.

But that would have to wait for the moment and she tossed a sharpie from her back pocket onto the counter. "If any of you know how to draw a Devil's Trap that would be awesome," she said and then pulled a small cross on a long silver chain that she tended to wear out, just in case, and tossed it into the sink before filling it with water trying to get out the blessing as quickly and accurately as possible.

As she opened the cupboards under the sink for anything bucket like she heaved a sigh of relief finding just that and dumped out the leak water it seemed to be collection. "Ron... can you like levitate a person... like float them over or something?" she asked and set the bucket next to the sink.

Jaina tensed, hand going immediatly to her lightsaber and activating the purple blade before cursing under her breath and deactivating it. Kriffing couldn't fight to kill. And there was no other way to fight against someone not also carrying a lightsaber that wouldn't end in death. Usually when someone had a lightsaber it ended in death anyway.

She didn't know about the traps. But as one demon raised a hand to employ telekinisis Jaina raised her own, matching him.

She hoped the kid could levitate people, she could do it too but her focus was on the black eyed guy in front of her, all her mind focused on taking him down.

As this was the first time that Ron himself had seen those demons in person, he seemed to be far from relaxed about the situation. Looking on at the few pacing the door, the Weasley pulled his wand out from his pocket, mind already panicking about the others. Where was Hermione? The kids that might have been part of his family? Were they all right? Worry streaked through him quickly, but Ron didn't voice those thoughts out loud. Instead, he looked to Jo and nodded.

"Yeah," he told her, "I can do that all right." That was actually fairly simple for him to accomplish as far as magic went.

The demons were trapped on the other side. They were preparing to take them on from this side. Ron was assuming that Jo wanted for him to bring them over, one by one, so that they could deal with them accordingly. Sounded like a good plan to him.

Wand pointing at the pudgy male one, Ron muttered something under his breath and the demons body began to spiral upward. Ron didn't bring the flailing figure over the line yet. Not until he had the word to. "Tell me when."

John stared at the demons, gazing at them. Then he nearly gasped, breaking eye contact. It was true evil. He could not even scan their minds properly. It was like a block of thorns and corruption. It was twisted, warped.. alien, perhaps? It was truly worse than any mind he had encountered. "They must be dealt with soon," he said then, a sense of urgency in his voice. The feeling he got was worse than any phantom he had caught before. He wished yet again that his crystal was still intact. But it wasn't.. so they had to make do in other ways.

He grabbed the marker and quickly set to work. He drew upon the floor, copying each line, each arcane, glyph-like detail that he had memorized from what he learned. John was always one to pay attention. Once the Trap was done, looking down at the good sized drawing, he looked at the others. "Ready." He then rushed to the one on the other side of the room, though closest to him, a red trail behind him. He grabbed one of the men by the arm and.. flew?

His eyes flashed red briefly as he confronted the demon. It was a bit of a struggle, trying to pull him.. but he eventually managed it, though not without taking a few punches. He soon hovered above the trap, and set the man down on it. He looked toward Ron and Jain, then at Jo. "The trap is now secure.. how many do you suppose we could fit in it?"

The fact that more than one of her little group seemed capable of levitating the demons was in a word awesome. And she had to admit there was a momentary pang of jealousy that she'd had to do in the hard way for years. It was a relief though, maybe they'd all be able to get out of this relatively unscathed. She filled the bucket with Holy Water and glanced between the other three. "Hopefully all of them," she answered John. After all she doubted once the Latin came out they'd be sticking around.

She doused the few demons hanging around who hadn't been picked up by Jaina, Ron or John to keep them from running off once it kind of became clear what the general plan was.

Levitating demons into traps. Right, Ron could do that. Keeping his wand on the demon that had was flailing around in the air, Ron yanked him over the line and hauled the creature across the room until he was floating up and above the trap in the corner. Without much concern based on how fun the fall was going to be, Ron pulled his wand back and watched with a look of satisfaction as the demon painfully crumpled into the line ridden space that John had drawn up for them.

The demon made a run for it. A grin spread across Ron's face when the creature collided with an invisible barrier.

"Now that's brilliant," Ron commented, smirking.

Jaina's levitation on the other hand looked worryingly perhaps to the Hunters not unlike what the demons did. A wave of her hand sent the demon across the room toward the trap to join the one Ron had sent into the trap.

"Can you do the strange language thing. Not even from this world let alone fluent in any of its languages except basic" she asked Jo as the water from above started to pour and the demons started to scream.

"Or that. Thats a plan." she said, using the distraction to levitate another demon toward the trap

Damn, damn and damn. Outnumbered and outgunned. This was not a good plan, not by a long shot. Dean thought fast before coming to a quick idea, pointing at a couple of random people in the room with him.

"You, you, you and you, with me." In his pocket, thankfully, was a rosary and that meant they could improve their supplies in one respect anyway. Pushing his way out, Dean made his way to the water tank, supplying the water to the whole building.

He leaned over the top of it, dropping the cross in and muttering the right words as quickly as he could.

Instant holy water. Throughout the whole building.

And not a second too soon as a pair of smirking, black eyed sons of bitches forced their way into the room.

Spike really didn't like being ordered around, especially not by a little twit who - well, he was a local, yeah. Still, Dean Winchester was not Buffy Summers and Spike was far from one to happily have orders barked at him. Rolling his eyes, the vampire gave the demon ridden scene one final glance before he followed Dean.. All right, fine. He'd work with him. Just this once because Spike really didn't have any idea based on what the fuck it was that he was doing right now.

Keeping a distant eye on Buffy, Spike watched Dean set to work on the holy water. Brilliant. Just what he needed.

"Give me a warning before you send that off, will you?" Spike told Dean, body turning just in time to see the demons rushing in at them. So that was what they looked like, huh? Not as ugly as what he was used to. Fancy that. Body pushing itself into a defensive stance, Spike did well to hold his ground until the first demon rushed at him. With a swing of strength that was far from human, Spike slammed his knuckles into the side of the creatures face and sent it sprawling.

Well. This could be fun.

Virgil was behind Spike, he had an amulet protection thingy he'd gotten, and a holy water. He really didn't know about demons but figured they must be just as slow as the guys he usually took on if they were just shoving there way in on a bunch of fighters and the two Winchesters who set this whole thing up. He was still not feeling great, his powers were still acting up and pushing him to the limit-but at this point in time that could be a good thing. To much. They had so little. He looked at the others around him as he heard and saw Dean shouting and pointing at him. White mask hiding most of his features. Gloved hands pointed at a demon that rushed the group.

As Static, he'd fought so many things-but demons? No. Not really. Virgil for half a second watched Spike, and copied his example as one came rushing at him. His gloved hand lit up with electricity as it made contact with the demons face-strength also very not normal for humans. It stumbled back looking confused and disoriented at the costumed teenager. "Shocking isn't it? What I like to call my taser punch."

As far as protection went? Well, Jack had his greatcoat and his Webley -- neither of which were exactly what he'd choose for facing off against a Demon, but at the same time, he wasn't too concerned about the possible death thing. Another day a little death as far as Jack was concerned.

"That's all?" Jack asked with a shake of his head. He'd seen worse -- namely Weevils, but there were a few things on in the Rexalica Galaxy that were worse. Still, demons weren't Jack's speciality. He liked aliens, not the supernatural.

Jack aimed and caught one of the Demons square between the eyes, slowing it down enough to land a well placed kick at it's stomach. "Come on now, this is fun!" Jack said, tossing a grin at his companions. He was just going to ignore the orders from Dean for the present. Worst case, Jack would put himself between the others and danger -- even if it was going to let one of his secrets out of the bag earlier than he wanted.

Right. She could handle this. She had to handle this. She kept up with the others firing off the appropriate curses to keep the demons away from her, leaning in the process that even demons weren't completely impervious to stupify. The group she'd gotten seperated with at least all seemed to be able to hand themselves, she didn't much like the idea of people getting hurt.

Once Dean had seemed to finish with the water she glanced around and caught eye of the sprinkler on the ceiling. "This is your requested warning," she told Spike and made sure he got out of the way before she held her wand up and shot off a series of sparks to get the sprinklers to go off.

Sam/Ruby - Holy water!
[info]ex_demonbloo908

Water suddenly erupted from the ceiling above, causing the demons that surrounded him to scream out in horror as the substance sprayed across their flesh. Smoke began to litter the air, mixing in with the screams of horror and shouts of exorcisms spread all across the room. Dropping his arm to his side, Sam glanced down at the body that he'd just pulled a demon from. Another down. Good.

He was on the verge of moving for another flailing demon before a thought struck him. It was raining holy water. Every demon inside of this building was being drenched with it. Which meant -

His eyes turned toward where he had last seen Ruby. The sight of the holy water falling upon her, burning at the demon that was within the body she wore brought on a feeling in his chest that he'd never quite had before from seeing something like that play out. Usually it was a sick pleasure. Now it was fear; fear that Ruby would get hurt, that she wouldn't be able to take the stinging water that rained down onto her. He didn't like it, seeing her react the same way that all of those other demons did. She was better than that. She was better than them. Dropping his flask of holy water, Sam bolted across the room, blinking some of the water from his eyes as it beat down onto him and everyone else in the room. Shoving screaming demons and allies alike aside, Sam fought his way through the crowd and made his way to Ruby as quickly as possible. The second he was within arms length of her, Sam wrapped his arms around Ruby's shoulders and desperately sought out somewhere he could shove her away until the sprinklers gave out. A wave of frustration struck him when Sam realized that most everything was either overturned, destroyed, or too far away. He'd have to do something else. Fast. "I've got you. Hang on."

Arms around her, Sam pressed Ruby into the wall behind them, covering her smaller body with his own. "Get behind me as best as you can," Sam told her quickly, keeping close. He had to protect her. Keep her from getting hurt. There was too much holy water coming down on them and Sam, in that moment, couldn't help but find himself cursing his brother for it rather than applaud him. A sensible tactic, surely, but one that pissed him off all the same. No one hurt Ruby. No one.

It burned. Painfully, not at the body per se but at her. Steam rose from the body of the coma girl as the demon controlling her tried despretely to find shelter and she found it in Sam. He'd come tearing across the room to her, to find her. To help her, in spite of everyone else fighting, in spite of the room full of people watching her, he'd wrapped her close into his body and pushed her into the wall keeping her safe in front of him.

"I'm trying" she told him as he asked her to hang on, burying herself further into him using his height and just how close he was holding her to try and keep the water from her. It still stung, every single drop.

Who the hell had been stupid enough to try that with a demon and she believed, a vampire in the room.

"Sam" she winced, her hands tightening in his as the water poured down from the sprinklers.

"I know," he said, pulling her closer, "I know. I'm sorry." And he was. Sorry that his brother was a moron. Why couldn't he have warned her before setting them off? Did he not realize that Ruby was just as easily burned as the rest of them were? Of course he does, Sam thought angrily. Dean knew. In fact, if Sam didn't know any better, he'd say that there was likely a part of Dean that had done all of this on purpose. Sure, it was a good way to hurt their enemies, but they had allies who weren't able to stand up to the holy water as well as they were able to. And Dean knew it.

Biting back the need to seek his brother out and punch him square in the nose, Sam clutched at Ruby. The sprinklers were timed, usually. They wouldn't last forever. "It'll be over soon, Ruby. Just hang on." He was begging her to. Sam didn't like this. And as bad as this looked on his part, hugging a demon to him, protecting her to the best of his ability, Sam found that the only thing he was concerned about in this very moment was her. Not the demons in the room, not anyone who might be watching them. Just her.

She knew she would have been happier at the protection he was granting her, what it meant for him to do it, what it meant for them. How much it said about how changed he was. But mostly. It burned. She buried herself as much into him as she could, every inch of her screaming to just leave the body, to give up and get out because anything would be better than this.

Her eyes hadn't shifted back since this had started, still black, still those of a demon, she didn't have the energy to do it even if she'd been thinking it properly. It felt like hours. The other demons fleeing in terror or being caught by the distraction the water provided and summerily exorcised, it felt like hours, days. And she knew nothing but Sam, and the water.

Until suddenly it stopped as quickly as it started, and though her clothes and his were soaking, still stinging she finally looked up at him eyes still black, and desperatly wanted to kiss him for what he'd done for her. Instead she cast her eyes from Sam toward his brother before looking back at Sam still more than a little shaky, her voice definitely so. "I think I should leave now"

Relief flooded through him when the sprinkler system finally gave up. The sounds of people scuffling around behind him were barely phased as Sam lightly leaned his head back to look down at the demon in his arms. He wanted to ask her if she was all right. If there was anything that he could do to make it better. But there was nothing that could really be done for it. The body was undamaged. It was all the demon on the inside that had been harmed and Sam couldn't quite reach that. Not right now.

His hands slid up the sides of her arms and eventually found each side of her face. Forcing her to look up at him, Sam stared into those black eyes cautiously for the longest while before he decided to speak. "I've got a jacket in the front seat," he told her quietly, "get rid of those clothes and put that on until you get home." He pushed some of her dampened hair from her face, still curiously staring at the demonic side of herself that he rarely got to see in full force. It freaked him out, normally. Right now Sam was so worried about her that he found he didn't care. After giving her another long moment, Sam stepped away from Ruby and gave her room to get by. He was wary about letting her go. The sprinklers could have gone off again or the demons could have been waiting for them on the outside. But Ruby, as much as he wanted to protest it, was a big girl. And he knew that was the argument that he'd hear if he did anything else but let her go.

"Be careful," he warned.

It was when his hands were on her face, holding her, his eyes finding the demonic black that Ruby realised three things. One, she had never loved him more. Two, the room would potentially have seen what he'd done for her, how tight he'd held her, how close and familiar he was being with her now and three, This was a point in her favor over Dean. Hard won and accidental, and not worth it in the slightest but it was.

"I'll get the jacket. Thanks" she told him, lifting her hand and just for a moment putting her fingers to her lips before running them across his, finally calm enough that her eyes changed back to human. Before taking the oppertunity to leave the apartments with a glare at Dean as she went.

It had stung like a bitch, hurt deeper than anything since Alastair's razor, but it had had its uses, everything did if you knew what to do with it.
