 Life can change in an instant. One second, one inch makes all the difference. 25 March, 1998; everything changed. After breaking the taboo on Voldemort's name, Harry, Ron and Hermione were captured and taken to Malfoy Manor where they were only saved with the intervention of Dobby, the House Elf who was tragically killed. What if not everything went according to plan? As Dobby gripped Harry's hand, Bellatrix Lestrange hurled her knife across the room, one second earlier. It struck, one inch to the left. As Dobby collapsed, Voldemort arrived and Harry Potter was plunged into the hands of the Dark Lord. Now, it is nearing the end of 1998. Life has flowed on with little to disrupt Voldemort's puppet Ministry. For a time things seemed calm, as the Ministry slowed changes and life started to return to normal. Yet, rumours have started to circulate that Pius Thicknese is about to retire from the post of Minister and will soon be replaced by someone so much more sinister. Voldemort would only sit back for so long and that time has now passed. It will not be long now. Welcome to Inimicum! The battle did not go according to plan, and Victoria was outraged to find out that her numbers were no longer in tact. She hadn't set out on that journey only to fail, and when brought face to face with one of her many enemies, she fled the scene with Riley into seclusion. Sylmist. One of the major metropolitan cities in the United States today. A seaport, at one time, it's now a melting pot of culture and creatures. Lycan and Vampire alike have a foothold into the city with their own businesses and their own underworld political battles. While there is no actual treaty formed between the two groups, both are walking a tenuous line of mutual respect and territory. Both are too strong for all out war, though small battles go on all the time. Now, with the ability to find those that could be hybrids and more and more humans finding out about them, things are heating up. It's quickly becoming apparent that there needs to be a treaty for all of their safety, that or an all out war. Everyone has a part to play in the new Underworld Risen.
