Day Ten: Evening and Night

Departures

Sam Anders - a body that may or may not belong to Sam Anders may or may not be found in the rubble of the church. Silent Bob - At 3:45pm, Silent Bob succumbed to the injuries sustained in the earthquake.

Weather Forecast

85° and partly cloudy. Slightly humid. Low 55° at night with a 10% chance of scattered showers. Sunset: 8:21pm

Experiments

Periodically throughout the hours after the first, large quake there will be smaller, less damaging quakes. Aftershocks. These will affect every area of Vas Captio but in varying degrees. Things will shift, fall, break, etc. as they did during the original quake but not in such fantastic disarray. Everywhere the ground split, the cracks will become marginally larger. Everywhere things fell precariously, some will become dislodged and fall further. The museum's foundation will crumble more. The tunnel of love in the carnival will break open and its water flood out onto the road. Most importantly, the clock tower will topple across the street, just missing the gym. All aftershocks will taper off and subside into nothing by 10pm. Then all will be still in Vas Captio once more.

Inventory

No new inventory for the day. Taken from inventory, so to speak, are the shelters of the captives. Currently, the only building still standing and potentially safe is the pharmacy/liquor store, however the fumes may be unbearable. Captives will have to build new places to seek shelter for the night.

For the remainder of Day Ten, we will allow placeholder posts to be made for characters who would like to post with other specific characters but aren't sure exactly what shape the characters will be in at the given time. These placeholders must be filled with an actual post by the end of Day Eleven, or they will be deleted for the sake of keeping the RPG community organized and neat. Please do not start any threads time-stamped before 5:00pm. You must incorporate the aftershocks into your posts, whether by threading them out as they happen or by having your characters make reference or have reactions to them after they have occurred.

House: Now with two bad legs [muses really hate me], he's at the gym to assist with anyone who needs it. So, really, if you want House, just say so and I'm there for doing the medical stuffs.

Jack: Following helping Ripley, SJ and Ianto dig Jenny out, he's available for more rescue work and/or helping people get to safe places. Because he needs to play the role of hero. It's all part of the job description.ETA: AKA, if anyone needs pulled out of things, just say the word and Jack's there!

I have four open threads and plan to make it five tonight, if Shannon has time for me. <3!

BUT. That is not enough for me. I am a threadizer.. like a womanizer, but with threads. ^^ So! Anyone who won't be dead, and could possibly be up and moving around at, oh, say.. anytime after six or so? Gambit will be avoiding the Gym like the plague, lest he get roped into being helpful or heroic or something again, bleh.

So, with that said.. is anyone interested in playing with him? Whether you've done it before or haven't yet, but want the chance, I'm open for ideas and plotting. :D

Characters needing evening threads, in order of severity of their injuries:

1. L- Currently has a shovel lodged in his side. He was discovered by Jean (who is concussed, burned, and otherwise battered up) and he is very scared and very aware that he might die. I'd advertise for cheering and cuddles, but honestly, he just wants a doctor, Laura, and a whole lot of morphine.
2. Rorschach- Has a concussion and cuts and bruises. He's currently threading with Merope at the clock tower, but by this evening he'll have carried Merope to the gym and then collapsed in a random place.
3. Edward- One of his legs broke off in the theater. Gambit was hanging onto it, last time I checked, but he's pretty cheerful about the whole thing. Anyone skilled with medicine or machinery could probably get it back on for him.
4. Derek Zoolander- He has suffered an acute broken nail and some incidental trauma. He needs a manicure immediately. Or just to whine for one until someone bitch-slaps him.

... and what a time to join! Haha. Well, I'm Alice, and I'm super-excited to hop into the game, and bring you Mitsuru Kirijo from Persona 3. It's one (the fourth, actually! oh, what silly numbering systems) in a series of urban fantasy/horror games from Shin Megami Tensei, which, if you're not familiar with it, is all about teenagers going to school, fighting monsters in the off-hours, and oh, yeah, trying to prevent the end of the world.

Mitsuru is a rich girl - her father's company owns pretty much the entire city - who's spent about ten years of her life as an experimental subject/Shadow fighter, and just nearly averted an apocalypse during her senior year of High School. She also managed to be valedictorian... somehow. She's intelligent and diligent like that; she's just also completely lost when interacting with people in non-professional ways. If you want more detail, it's in her bio; I'm sorry in advance for all the game spoilers >----->.

Merope in an evening thread? Apparently Rorschach is gunna bring her to the gym, I'll do a thread there but she won't be able to leave. She'd be willing to comfort someone or vise versa, I'd say L, but I think he's taken? XDDDD

Guys, there is a post-it. And as such, someone needs to dig a very screaming George out of the rubble so she can heal, and find the said post-it. I still don't know if just in time, or after the poor guy bites it. Also after post-it, she needs to help out. Because I want to play this thing out, but even reapers can't dig themselves out of rubble and/or roller coasters.

So. Who's at the gas station/Not Quick Stop, or who will eventually be there, etc?

Okay, so this week has sucked with RL stuff, but I'm trying to get back on track. Without too many gory details, I started work this week, so that's been kicking my butt, and I had a bit of an accident that's going to require some dental surgery tomorrow.

I am going to catch up on my posting tonight. I don't know if it's possible, but are we allowed to retcon threads for different parts of Day 10? If not, I'll make due for posting for the night. Laura was in her case in the drug / liquor store in the morning, and I am planning on inserting her in there for the afternoon earthquake. Does anyone want to join her there, and does anyone want to do anything for the night?

Tink was last seen in the graveyard when the earthquake hit, and I'm not sure what to do with her at night. So, I'm open.

I will be around tomorrow afternoon unless the Novocaine and minor anesthesia kicks my butt. I'm not expecting it to be too bad. Anyone waiting on me, expect a post to the thread tonight.

Edit: Laura can be found trapped in the remnants of the pharmacy / liquor store here. The place is probably going to blow up without much agitation, and while she can survive a fire, she'd really love somebody to help her out. If not, she'll drag her own corpse to freedom. She needs to find L!

Ok, this is the mandatory evening plotting post for my pups :D

Watanuki got it badly in the earthquake - most notably one of his legs got crushed behind the fallen balcony and has cuts on his arms/head. Can't walk around and will be wherever Gambit or other kind people decide to leave him. It would be nice if someone could cheer him up, since he's in a rather depressed mood.

Granny on the other hand is almost unscathed. It doesn't look as if anyone is in town so if anyone from the 1pm threads wants some plotting, Granny can... uh... dig them out of the rubble or something?
