1. Zombies, as The Management suggest, will only be killed by an injury that destroys the brain or disconnects it from the body.

2. If you are bitten by a Zombie you will be infected. Symptoms include: Fever, flushing, unconsciousness, dry mouth, loss of ability to speak.

3. Those playing Zombies have been instructed not to share which zombie they are playing. Do not ask. C'mon, it's more fun wondering!

Hello everyone!

Just your friendly neighborhood mod writing to let you know that Day Change will be up tonight between 6:00 and 7:00 EST.

Hope you're all enjoying your stay at Vas Captio!

Just a few modly notes from your friendly neighbourhood modly types!

1. OOC vs IC: Remember to keep the two things separate. We really haven't seen any of this come up, but it's a good reminder nonetheless. What a character thinks is not what the player thinks!

2. Rule Update: As you will see this week, we are reinstating Shannon into the game. This does involve a rule update and it is this: The Mods understand that sometimes you aren't feeling a character and feel the need to drop -- followed soon by the regret of dropping the character. Players are allowed ONE re-pick up of a character with no questions asked. However, we will not permit constant dropping and re-picking up of a character. As Shannon has been picked up, please run the friend add button to un-banset.

3. Hiatuses: We are coming into school-time once more [this particular mod is about to start law school] and are suggesting that, rather than dropping a character due to time constraints you take a hiatus. Hiatuses are fine and dandy with us. Similarly, if you know you won't be around for a period of time, please post on the hiatus post in the mod journal so we can keep track of things.

4. ♥: there just needed to be a fourth thing. Only to say that you guys are amazing and thanks for an amazing five months of game! We're going to be doing some pimping and if you know people who are looking for a game, bring 'em here! We always like new victims players around here!

Experiments

The drizzly atmosphere seems like something directly out of a Hitchcock film. Lucky for you, our wonderful inhabitants at Vas Captio, we have just the cure. Remember the Birds? Birds have infested every area of Vas Captio, lining along branches and rooftops. One cannot turn without seeing a black crow somewhere. These crows, however, are not at all friendly. They will dive bomb anyone trying to move about in Vas Captio, so take heed if you move. Sorry Mr LeBeau, but sleeping outside wasn't the smartest thing. That fine coat that's a duplicate of the Doctor's is now pecked to pieces. All those who took part in the experiment yesterday will wake up at 4 am in the Forest near the Clock Tower. No experiments today, however... Journals have been returned to all those who were involved in yesterday's experiment. In addition, all journals will have a survey that the Management requests you fill out. Try to tear it out, and it will appear on the next page of your journal. Surveys are mandatory. Fill them out by posting the responses in your journal. Captives are unable to write in other portions of their journal until the survey is filled out. The Management will be on hand at various points during the day to collect these surveys from all residents of Vas Captio. All characters will awaken with a watch. Style of watch will be suitable to the captive. Likely, the watch looks exactly the same as one owned outside of Vas Captio. Watches cannot be removed. All people who were involved in yesterday's experiment will retain the clothing they had on them at the time of falling asleep. However, any additional items they may have acquired in the room will disappear upon waking up.

And now! NOMINATIONS

Due to the fact that we've had a lot of characters drop over the past few weeks, we are going to let the last round of awards slide. However, we have a new way of doing awards that will, we think, help everyone in terms of nominations.

Every week, we will hold nominations for the main categories -- that way threads and journals are still fresh in people's minds. Nominations will run for the whole of the following game day. [In other words, nominations for Day Fifteen will run during Day Sixteen and so on]. At the end of the third week, we'll hold a round of voting with the winners to be announced with shiny graphics.

Any questions, don't hesitate to ask. And please, nominate! More nominations we get, the more you all have to choose from. As always, for best scenes and lines, include a link to the thread/journal in question.
