Greetings. My name is Thurvishar D'Lorus. After performing a perfunctory sweep of names on your compiled list I am confident in saying that there is no one here from my world, but if I'm incorrect, I beg your forgiveness. I'm loathe to sum up myself but in short: I am a wizard, and High Lord to the Noble House of Binders - paper, histories, archives, mapmaking, records, you get the idea. In my spare time, I work as the advisor to Empress Tyentso (long may she reign) and get dragged into near-death political deathtraps by my friends whose enthusiasm for life often outpaces their capacity for common sense. This isn't my first alternate dimension, nor will it likely be my last, but I do have three questions here that I would greatly appreciate a response:

  • I wonder if there has been any study of how time moves in comparison to that of the homeworlds? This notion concerns me greatly, as we are on a-- we'll call it abbreviated -- schedule back home before, in short, total devastation and unending apocalypse strikes, and I would really very much like to avoid all of that, and:

  • Has anyone else had their magical abilities dampened? I am missing a power that was second nature back home, and it seems to be much weakened here, and finally:

  • I could use the spiciest curry on saag that Vallo could provide me with. Please, I implore you: blow my head off.
Thank you for any information you can provide.

Odd question - are women allowed to study in your schools? That is something that Tysentso and I are struggling to have happen, but tradition is rigid.

They are, yes. It is hard to imagine them not to be allowed, in all honesty. But though we do not live in a matriarchal society by definition, we are ruled by a queen and have many strong and powerful women as heads of our government or involved with our conservatory.

We have vast and historic cultural misogyny. Yay.

It's interwoven into too many societies, it seems.

Fuck tradition. They do not let women school? It is a wonder the women have not rightfully taken over.

The women have - Tyentso was an unregistered witch before she became Empress. Now she's the most powerful person in Quur. Politically speaking.

Ah, good. I would be happy to burn things to the ground for them.

Hello, I am Caleb - I am also a wizard.

I believe Her Majesty's got that well in hand, but if we need additional arsonists, I'll make the suggestion.

Very good to meet you, Caleb. From the same location as Essik?

I am glad to help, I only just got to set a church on fire a few days ago.

Ja - the same world, we come from different locations in the world, however.

Oh? Good; we do like experience.

I'm surprised to see such a vast range of magic. I hope you won't mind if I've questions for both of you once I get my head wrapped around this place. And some sleep.

Essek and I have two separate specialties as well, I am a student of his time magic, but ja, sleep and explore. Do not get lost in the forest, though, it moves.

If you like to add some flavor to your readings, I help run a dirty bookstore in the city, Chastity's Nook.

Is there a magical academy here? And-- noted on the forest. I don't care to find out what you mean by "moves" this evening.

Ah-- excellent name, thank you for the offer.

Ja, a few. Essek and I both teach at Geliara, it is one of the older ones of this world, and they have been welcoming to us.

It is not of my creation, but we enjoy it nonetheless.

Really! I will have to familiarize myself with its curriculum. Perhaps take a course. I'm done with school but that hardly matters, does it?

Does it happen to sell ... books on subjects other than sexual titillation?

You would have a few options here, but I doubt anyone would hold it against you for taking more studies. I am always trying to learn.

Ja, we have books banned in our world and ones on both forbidden love and magic, if reading about tits and dicks is not to your taste.

If you're brought to a place that provides an education of such vastness, why wouldn't you want to take advantage of it?

There we go. I'm powerless against any book store, dirty literature or no, but now I can all but guarantee I'll be purchasing something.

There is always someone who thinks themselves better than others and thinks they knows all.

How do you feel about cats?

Always. No point in trying to prove them incorrect; their ego will solve that problem on its own.

I... quite like them?

Some people get offended if you refer to it "pornography"; I'm trying to err on the side of caution!

I'm definitely not offended by pornography! But also the use if titillation in that context was on point.
