There's a group of us who get together to play D&D
(if you've always wanted to play and have never had the excuse, we're always looking for new people, we play once a month--today is a day, actually, but life happens so people come in and out and it's not a big deal, also I can teach you if you're curious but have no idea how to play)
(second parenthesis is that if you're wondering what I'm talking about, it's a table top role playing game where people create characters and tell a story together using statistics and dice to determine successes)
(third parenthesis is that wow, lots of side notes here)
and although this is a great system to use, there are other fun RPGs to mess around with. Awhile ago we played Honey Heist where everyone played as bears or bear-adjacent animals and so in a similar vein may I humbly present, next week Saturday...
You and a group of raccoons (fourth parenthesis: or similarly trash animals, examples include a pigeon, a group of cockroaches, and a rat, but I am also inclined to say I reward creativity so please, bring on the trash animals) are on a quest. But not just any quest. You, trash animals, are about to build a flying ship from a junkyard, fly that ship to a house in the suburbs, and heist it. But the cards may or may not be in your favor and, let's face it, you're trash animals, you may find a distraction or two or ten.
So if you're interested, give me your trash animal, come up with its name--bonus points for puns, as always, what you might find at the junkyard to add to the impossibly flying ship, and what your motivation is for this heist.
I, for example, will be playing a raccoon named Notadog, my contribution from the junkyard will probably be one of those stickers on cars that says 'baby on board' so that our ship can blend in better in the burbs, and I think my motivation is to break into a house and learn how to play a video game.
Let the chaos begin.
