See, this is why I prefer space stations to planets. You never just come across unexpected flora and fauna in a space station, and if you do, congratulations, your shit's fucked (see: Alien (1979), Aliens (1986), Ale-- you know what, the whole damn series). But now we're on a planet, and we don't know what all is on it, and then it's just a neverending symphony of "what the shit is thaaaaaaat". Even planets that have been explored for centuries are always turning up new species like the worst game of whack-a-mole ever.
