It wasn't a terribly good day. Granted, there'd been worse of those but right now being transported to what she was really hoping wasn't the Never-Never was topping the time she had to hit an FBI agent with a baseball bat. It wasn't made any easier when everything still hurt, and while she'd tried to bite it all down the people who'd found her had taken one look at her and put her right back in a hospital bed.
Everything was spinning, and she was trying, desperately, to make some sense of it. So she focused on the thing she could hold onto; facts. They'd been kind enough to explain as much as they could and even got her set up. Which was ironic, really. Wasn't this what they'd been trying to do? A safety net, for those who needed it. And here it was nothing more then asking for a name, with the implication it didn't have to be her own, and the oddest of it all her species. And then they'd given her some funds, and ensured that she'd not have to worry about the hospital stay.
If she wanted even a little of this, it'd have to involve Marcone and by no means was she willing to sell her soul to that devil. The thought made her frown, and set one hand on her ribs. The pain was dulling, whatever they were giving her was acting pretty fast, and tried not to think of the price of all this. She decided to trust the information given, and picked up the device. For a moment she scrolled through this network they'd talked about, something akin to the ParaNet but much more advanced, and tried to make sense of it all before figuring out she couldn't. In the end she set it down and set her head in her hands. They had said she had people here, so she was trying to cling to that hope.
