"They gave you drugs?" Harry said, his eyebrows shooting up as he gave her a once-over. Beaten but not broken. That was the Murph he knew and - he'd admit it - loved. "I hope you swiped some of the good stuff for me," he said with a small smirk, "cause you know I'll end up smacked around before this adventure's done!" He'd almost said 'half-dead' which would have brought back more bad connotations than he was currently equipped for. Better to stick to more solid ground.
He understood just how Karrin felt right now. The whole thing was a shock and not one he'd been prepared for. Getting whisked off by Mab, maybe, but this? "It's not too bad here," Harry told her with a considered frown. "As long as you don't stress the 'why' too much, the life is good. Some might even say an improvement, given what chaos we've left," and now that Murph was here he might even find a little peace of mind. Perhaps. "The magic here is wild and crazy," Harry admitted, "and just this week a bunch of Others suddenly changed age overnight without rhyme or reason, so if you're looking for the down-side, that would be it."
Harry gave her a gentle nod of understanding, "I know. Time's funky too. People come from all over the damn place," he said with a soft sigh. "Hey! You know you're proud I didn't fry any electrics either," Harry said with a low laugh, knowing that Karrin had a point. It was rare that Harry existed anywhere without someone trying to kill him in a hurry. He'd take it personally if he really thought about it for long. He caught the look Murph shot him and had the survival mechanism to look abashed before answering. "In my world the magic has a logic to it. A sense of purpose and with research and study and... I don't even have my damn pendent," he told her with a shake of his head.
