I remember sleep, it was really soothing and comfy and I wish I could do more of it. I guess I ate something hinky or something, because here I am, recalibrating all my tools and working on building a lunchbox that keeps cold food cold and hot food hot (not like those Thermos things, like, for real). |

So for those of you unaware, Aveline and I have bought a house. It's a big one--well, not a big one, nothing like Varric's pile of bricks, but certainly bigger than my two-room apartment. It'll have to be, to fit both of us and our three kids. Well, two of them won't be around for much longer, as I understand it, college and things, but still, we want them to have their own rooms for whenever they are around, so it applies.
The point is, anyone willing to help us move things in and shift furniture and all that will get a night of drinks on me at the Unnamed Pub. Plus our undying gratitude. That goes double if anyone happens to have a pick-up truck.
Once everything is moved we'll be holding one heck of a housewarming party, so don't make any plans for [some future date].
And now, back to manly grunting as I try and lift this couch. |

Oh, uh, and I've been unkidnapped. Thanks to everyone who was looking for me. I'm fine, aside from having lost my California tan and suffered a severe case of boredom and pizza deprivation. You'd think kidnappers would be humane enough to at least leave their victims with some books or a deck of cards or anything. You can only do so many push-ups, after all.
Still, that was the best rescue I've ever been part of, for all that I was the rescuee instead of one of the rescuers. First two dozen off-duty policemen swarm in--to say nothing of everyone on the perimeter, half the LAPD were there--and then this gorgeous redhead with a sword runs up, kisses me, and asks me to marry her.
Seriously, thanks to everyone who was looking for me. I'm grateful, I really am. I mean it.

As everyone knows, by now a lot of people have been taken.
One of them is my cousin Rikku. So far as we know she only just arrived here via the vortex, and we have no idea where she landed or where to begin looking for her. If any of you who are searching for your own loved ones could keep an eye out for news of her and inform me of anything you might learn, I'd be very grateful. She has blonde hair, green eyes with a swirly pattern to them, is fairly short, and is made of more bouncy energy than you can imagine. She's a genius with machina, so if you find any strange machina running about chances are she may be behind it. I wouldn't put it past her to escape from wherever she's being kept and build something to make her captors sorry they ever saw her.
Also if anyone wishes any assistance, we're at a bit of a loss and would be glad to help. We have so little to go on with our own search; it might be better to join forces with another group. I promise we have a number of useful skills to offer. |

The Blighted area I found over Halloween really is just...gone. I didn't believe it. I went down to the Blighted lands over a decade after it ended, back home, and everything was still poisoned or dead. It was the worst thing I've ever seen. But this time it's just gone, and the darkspawn with it. It seems impossible.

There's Blight here. I'd swear it, I'd know the feel of that...that poison anywhere. And I saw a bereskarn up in the mountains. I've only seen one once before, but it's not something you can forget.
I haven't seen any darkspawn yet, but surely that's the only thing that can be causing it. Isn't it?
I don't know what to do. I can't fight Blight, I can't, it'd corrupt me like the bear, wouldn't it? But if it spreads...! |
