Hello, lovely ~treatyoselfers! Can you believe that this community is more than a year and a half old? Seriously, like, it's going to be two years old in September – that's crazy! I'm so happy that all of you really love this place and have kept posting things even if my dumb old mug hasn't been here to keep the love alive. That's fantastic, and I'm so happy.
Anyway, a few bits and bobs of housekeeping:
- I spent a little time this morning to go through and tag all posts as best I could! I'd say "appropriately," but tbh tags are in the eye of the beholder, so if any of you go through our archives and see if there's any empty holes, please feel free. All tags are in this entry if you want to search by topic, and I've also linked the intro + tag post in our profile so you can access tags quickly and easily whenever you want. No more "?????" on whether or not your topic has been covered. I'm going to try better to go through and tag after the fact from now on, but I think this will be helpful.
- For those of our ~treatyoselfers that don't know yours truly very well, I have had a bit of a bad habit of randomly disappearing off the face of the Internet in the past. I don't foresee this happening again, but there was a long time here at ~treatyoselves where I just wasn't around. I'm so happy to see that the community was still chugging, but I was wondering: would anyone be interested in a deputy moderatorship? ~treatyoselves runs pretty well on its own, so you wouldn't actually be doing anything; consider it more an "oh oops, I'm around to periodically tag shit if Allison drops off the face of the planet again" or whatever. If not, that's cool! This community was thriving with or without me peeking in de temps en temps and I'm sure it will again, but just in case any of you feel better with more than just one occasionally unreliable moderator at the wheel, I thought I'd open the possibility to y'all.
Anyway, with all of the great, super-sensible posts that we've had in the past few days, I was also wondering if anyone was interested in any masterposts on any topics. I know some of you are better at nails, while others are big into fitness or food, and still more are masters of shopping for gorgeous brands on a student's paycheck! Tell me if there are any compilations of subjects you'd like me to look into in the upcoming weeks/months and we'll make it happen.

ANYWAY: tags! We love them! I just wanted to say that FEEL FREE TO ADD YOUR OWN TAGS TO THE SYSTEM, no big. E.g.: Cassie asked about a skincare tag and if you think that skincare should go separate from wellness and/or grooming, then qurl u put it there nbd. I mean, the fun thing about this comm so far is how fast you've taken it soooooo basically the same goes for tags. Bonus: since my internet's being a dick, this also ensures that if you're not feeling like things are organized properly and I'm not around that it is not a big deal. Worse comes to worse, I can clean out the tags one afternoon when my internet is not a douchenozzle and it'll be better.

Guys, I'm so happy that you've taken this community and ran with it! Your enthusiasm about it is just so :') and p.s.: all of you are gorgeous. Anyway, I just wanted to tell you that if anyone's like WTF IS TREATYOSELVES, link them to this post so they know! Also use it as a "guide" for TYS philosophy, if there is even such a thing. (Note: there hardly is, if at all.)
Also, I've added some basic tags and will probably be a tag fairy this evening for all of the new posts (!!!) that you have filled this lovely space with. UGH SERIOUSLY, YOU'RE ALL WONDERFUL; I CANNOT EVEN HANDLE IT. P.S.: tomorrow y'all shall have to consult me about some Warby Parker glasses, aepfoijawefoij. But this is unrelated to the boring mod shit that I'm writing, so YAWNSVILLE I'M OUT. |
