How does a bottle of wine turn into an odd creature? With an appendage that did something to me. I am unsure what.

Still, it is a wonderful day, is it not? I was despairing at the piety of the puritans. However, I am beginning to admire their faith and belief. And, surely such Christian people should be able to be persuaded that what they are doing is wrong, no?

One day, there'll be a place with clothing that makes sense. Sorry but not wearing that weird hat thing. I draw the line at skirts.

So, on general principle what's the plan? Figuring we can't exactly waltz into a place that's already got high tension and just say we're here to fix their stupidity problems. From experience, it's never that easy.

My own knowledge of this place is limited to the files they gave us, so to me it seems we could find the key players and have a talk that doesn't get anyone hurt. Can't understand the logic of TARA, so my guess is we're here to do exactly that.

Medics & military-sorts: we are working on getting you supplies - Gavroche is an absolute fucking star - so if you're missing anything vital you need to let me know. As for actual strategy: Jack has put forward a suggestion that high-ranking targets in the army should be our priority. If anyone has any better ideas I'm all ears.

Now, I know you said we couldn't vote in the elections today, Apollo. But, I have no interest in voting for their little council. It's a pointless exercise in democracy. When we all know it will be a popularity contest, and not reflect the true capabilities of the respective candidates.

I plan to hold a rally, this Saturday outside the Arenes de Lutece. I shall look to history and the remenants of the Roman Empire to inform the future. They too were once republic under threat, but we shall sucseed where they did not. We shall lead France to a brighter future.

I will speak of things that many in our 'Government' do not wish to hear and this may attract trouble. It is a price I am willing to pay but I would not expect that of anyone else. Each of us must decide now who we are and what it is we are willing to fight for.

Hello everyone, I hope you've recovered from whatever was briefly afflicting you all. My name is Steve Rogers, I'm a soldier and hero on my home Earth. I'm sure we're all more than a little upset at being brought here against our wills, but putting that aside, there are people here who need our help, and its not in me to sit by and do nothing.

Apologies for my bluntness, but the first step as I see it is establishing some kind of command structure. We can't operate effectively as a group of individuals with crossed purposes, and seeing as the people who brought us here didn't give us any direction, then it's on us to come up with our own system. I'd suggest an ad hoc Command Council of 3 individuals who are elected from the body of the group. 3 is a small enough number to allow us to make decisive moves quickly, but allows more than a single perspective to be heard. Those interested in a position would put forward their name, credentials, and perhaps their ideas for our mission going forward, and others would cast votes. As there are 3 positions, I'd suggest each individual can cast votes for up to a maximum of different 3 candidates. The system should be flexible enough that we can adjust it as necessary going forward. Otherwise I think we should hold the actual election within the week if possible. We could do it here on the Network.

If anyone has any objections or ideas they wish to add I'd suggest you do so here. It's a pleasure to meet you all, by the way.

OOC - Once the first group have arrived through the portal and tumble out into the Cafe Musain. Enjolras will welcome them, shaking each ones hand. Their reactions won't seem to phase him. He will introduce them to his friends and Grantaire will offer each one a drink as they settle into the cafe. Once they are all there Enjolras will stand up and quieten the room. That's right. It's passionate speech time.

I welcome you to Paris. I will admit I am still unsure as to the magic that has brought you here but I can say that I am grateful you have come.

We are a people held under the yoke of an oppressive and cruel regime. The poor of Paris are desolate, barely able to scrape enough to live on let alone prosper. The monarchy once again holds power it has no right to and I hope only to see blessed Patria free to make her one decisions. To govern herself as is the right of every man and woman. We are not the only nation to fight for her freedom but we seem to have been blessed from a power unknown to us.

I believe this is proof of the righteousness of our cause and welcome it gladly.

We have found you lodgings, they are humble but given the situation, the best we can do. My friends will show you there soon enough.

You find yourselves at our Headquarters, the Cafe Musain, it is here we plan, it is here we meet a number of times a week. I will not demand this of you, only hope it is your intention to aid us.
