Time Stream

A Panfandom Game

Shortly after not only travel through time, but also between worlds was discovered in the 26th Century, it was surmised that certain events could be changed without damage to the timeline. Instead just creating a parallel reality. With some experimentation, this was proven.

So have any of you found out anything more about the Dark Side user we've been sensing? I've been keeping all my senses on alert, but haven't run into him yet. I imagine that if he can feel us, he's probably trying to avoid us.

This isn't really how I wanted to spend time in Paris. And usually when I go on missions there's a plan in place so we can achieve our objectives. But there's no point complaining over things I can't change.

I'm Skye and this is me officially introducing myself to the rest of you. I probably should have done this when we were not in the middle of a revolution but I never had the best timing. As for skills I never met a computer system I couldn't hack and there are other things I'm good at too but I don't want to give away all my secrets straight outta the gate.

This journal still confuses me, how you are all able to see my words, but so do travellers through time.

How are you all settling in? Anything my friends and I can do for you, just ask.

[Grantaire]

I showed the Priest who shares your face to the nearest church.

He's been in there 4 hours now.

I truly do hate to think what this will do to your reputation

This method of communication is odd indeed. Can you really all see the words that I write here?

I wanted to introduce myself properly. My name is Grantaire. And, I realise that Paris may be hard to navigate when you are not used to it. I know the best place for everything you may need. Please feel free to ask me where these things may be.

First things first. Anyone else a vampire that's not from our world?

Also, anyone else noticed compulsion is crazy hard here. It took me a whole damned minute to compel the chick I was trying to snack on.

Let me make somethin clear, I ain't tryin to call the shots here. The last thing I want is to be in charge of this s***show. But if we gotta help these muppets so we can get home, then lets get to it. Soldier Boy already got a rundown of what kinda people we have at our disposal, which is a good start. You get past the time travel crap, and what we got here is a pretty classic Special Forces mission. A small rebel group tryin to overthrow the government, our job is to help make it happen. For those who don't have a black ops background, here's the rundown:

- Get intel on enemy forces and sites of strategic value, via recon or spying (we want enemy numbers, troop composition, leadership figures, barracks locations, stuff like that)
- Gather supplies (weapons, explosives, medical supplies, whatever)
- Recruit and train rebel forces (need to get familiar with weapons and strategy from the period ASAP)
- Plan/execute ops to destabilize the enemy regime (riots, raids, destroying infrastructure, assassinations, bombings)
- Rinse and repeat until we've built up an organized, aggressive rebel force with civilian support, and weakened the regime. Then we execute our endgame, and deploy our resources in full to take the city.

Our ace in the hole is we know how this is supposed to go down. History buffs, what happened with this revolution? If we know what went wrong, that's a serious edge in planning how to do things differently.

Some of you may not like the sounds of this. I get it- it ain't pretty. I've fought on both sides of these sorts of wars, and no matter how right your cause is, nobody comes out of it with a clear conscience. The soldiers we'll be fightin ain't monsters, they're just people. But they still have to die if we want to win. If you can't handle this, that's your call. Probably 'cause you're a good person. And good people are important, but they can't win a war- not on their own. To win you need killers. I'm sure some of us thought we'd walk all over the Army with powers or tech or magic- but I reckon the same thing that's happenin to my powers is happenin all of yours. Sh** just got real folks. Somebody else has a better idea, I'm all ears. But I've been fightin wars for over a hundred years, and this is the only way I know how to win this.

So. First question. Does the guy (because let's face it, this wasn't designed by women for women) who invented the corset live in Paris? Because that sonofabitch is just begging for some Constructive Criticism of the 'axe through the brain' variety.

Come back, Tigris, all is forgiven.
