Chance wasn't the sort of person to encourage his sisters to date. With the exception of Valerie, because he wanted her to have more self confidence. But he knew there was no way he was going to convince Lyla to NOT date. So logically, it would make sense that he would find someone for her to date that was worthy of her. And in Chance's mind, the only person who would fit that description was Adam. Which is why he arranged this little get together. He just hoped that they hit it off nicely. He wasn't sure how good he would actually be at matchmaking though... so he decided he would just try to buffer both of them, and be himself, because he really didn't know what else to do.

Chance arrived with Adam ten minutes before their reservation and let the hostess know they were there and took a seat to wait for Lyla, chattering away to his best friend about the week thus far.
