Lainey was nervous as nervous could be. It wasn't that she hadn't dated before, but dating in your home town and dating in New York City were two decidedly different things. And besides, if she needed saving at home, she could call anyone to come and get here, but she didn't know what to do in New York. Which was why she was lucky she had Mae. Mae was a wonderful and amazing friend and while both of them were hopeless romantics when it came to a lot of things, she was also very good support about these kinds of things.

"White peasant blouse" she asked her roommate, holding the shirt up to herself. "Or the sleek black look?" as switched to hold the tighter black shirt up to herself. She'd be more comfortable in the peasant blouse, but still. She wanted to look good, after all.
