Since I've seen others deny the information found in the most recent edition of Whistledown, I suppose I ought to confirm the information about myself and Mister Bridgerton. It is true that Benedict Mister Bridgerton has asked me to marry him. It is also true that I have accepted his proposal.

I admit that I'm quite overwhelmed by the entire ordeal.

I don't often mark my birthday, but I did wake up to a beautiful bouquet of violets this morning. Thank you, to my mystery gifter.

I must admit I am not as shocked and confused as I ought to have been, seeing as how somehow the entire manor has relocated overnight to the shore. Does this, perchance, mean that we're growing accustomed to the machinations of Lady Whistledown?

So, despite all the hustle and bustle of this week, it just feels a bit too quiet in the manor today. As such, I'm organizing a game of charades in the parlor this afternoon, if anyone cares to join me.

Besides, if the rumours are correct, the winner gets to bring a guest from home to tomorrow's ball.

Thank you to everyone who helped make my eighteenth birthday so very special this past Saturday. It is a day I will not forget for years to come.

I must admit that I am quite overwhelmed with everything that Summerview Park has to offer. I never anticipated having an opportunity such as this, to enjoy this lovely company and experience such wonderful parties and balls. Thank you to our hostess for the unexpected invitation and for arranging everything. It feels almost like a dream at times.

Lest someone think otherwise, I am not the EB of note in Ms. Whistledown's writings this week. For one, I am not new, I am simply not one to make myself the center of attention. For another, I was, in fact, in attendance at the ball.

However, to my fellow EB, having missed a couple of balls myself, I think we might enjoy each other's companionship in such an environment such as this.

Good evening, guests of Summerview Park. My name is Colin Bridgerton, and I arrived last evening along with several members of my family, along with some of our acquaintances. I admit it's difficult to grasp that time works differently to bring us all here, though I have always been a fan of fantastical adventure novels, so I suppose this might be a time to consider I'm in one. That is, one that seems to take its cues from my dear mother and insist that I get married off. I suppose this could be fun?

If the purpose of our time here at Summerview Park is to arrange matches resulting in marriages, I fail to see any just cause for the presence of a scandal sheet.
