When: March 21, evening

It had been kind of a long day already, but that wasn't necessarily a bad thing. Gabrielle had always enjoyed being busy, and having things to do. She was never one to be idol for long, however, this winter she seemed to be going a little more stir crazy than usual. So, deciding that now that spring was officially here, she was done trying to recognize her home for the fourth time. No, today she actually hadn't been home more than to eat lunch this afternoon. She taught her morning classes at the dance studio this morning, then after changing and having a quick lunch she knocked out some of her pre-planting shopping which, in truth, she didn't get as much as she should have done as she got talking with one of the sales girls who was having a bad day. Oh well, there would always be tomorrow. But after that side-track she decided an afternoon pick-me up would be in order. So, after exiting Sweets for My Sweet with not only a hot beverage and small snack for herself, but also one for her brother as well. Because it had been far too long since she had dropped off an afternoon treat to him and she knew that Gene was working his backside off right now. Or she assumed that he was at least. Not seeing him at his desk she simply left a little sticky note attached to his cup that read "Enjoy, Amata" with a little happy face doodle before walking out of the building. Honestly, she was ready to call it a night. Go home, put on more comfortable clothing and unwind with her cats and some kind of dinner. That actually was sounding like pure heaven when she got a message from Forrest Pilkington with a request for some of the bees wax candles she made. So, she ran back to her workshop and packed a few up before heading over to the bowling alley where he was currently on shift. She had no idea why he needed them now and not later when he wasn't at work, but then again she had learned long ago not to judge. Who knew what was going on or what he needed them for. For all she knew he needed a quick present, or needed extra light or something. Honestly, it didn't bother her all too much, it was more out of curiosity than anything else. After a few polite words and an almost too long of a hug (which was saying something because Ellie-Ange loved hugs), they settled up and she was free for the rest of the night. She looked at her watch, well, maybe she had made better time than she thought. Maybe it would be alright if she stayed and socialized for a little while. As she was kind of alone at the moment that ruled out trying to bowl by herself, which while she didn't mind doing things by herself, she knew that would defeat the purpose of socializing. Off to the bar it was, at least for the moment. Maybe she could drum up a person or two for an actual game, or just sit and talk with someone. As she walked her way towards it she spotted a familiar face and an easy smile came over her features. So, she settled down at the bar, which was starting to fill up a bit and put in an order. She was just about to start checking her messages when she spotted Parthenope, possibly looking for a seat? Or someone else. Honestly, Gabrielle wasn't quite sure. "If you're looking for a seat, this one is open." she offered with a warm smile waving her hand slightly to the one that was unoccupied next to her. "Unless you're looking for someone that is." she also noted just in case. |
