Ellie thought for a moment and then nodded. "You know, I dare say that you're right about that." she shook her head at that second part though. Didn't that always seem to bet he case though? A few bad eggs tended to spoil the reputation of most of the good ones. She once heard that a bad word spread faster than a good, so combining those two train of thoughts only seemed to make it make more sense. "And yet, I still really want to believe that people are mostly good." she admitted. Most days that was, she wasn't perfect after all. Though, it was easier than not most days.
"It does at times, but it's not so bad. It never tends to stay that way for long." she admitted. Sometimes it felt like being lonely in a crowded room. And truth was Ellie was horrible at asking for thing, always had been, even if that thing was just to ask for some company to come over without more reason that she was just lonely. True, she was getting better about it, but again, she wasn't perfect. Which is why she tended to want to go to places like the bowling alley, or even the arcade just to...be with people.
"I have every faith that you'll be just fine." she tried to reassure the other woman. "After all, as long as you don't strike me in the head with the ball, you'll be doing great." she giggled a little bit half joking, half serious. "I can't wait for you to give it a go then." Ellie admitted while she was reminded just by Parthenope stirring her own glass that Ellie should probably drink a little from hers. "Well then, any time you would like to do so, I'm all ears."
