In truth, there were very few people in Summerview that Gabrielle wouldn't talk to, and in all honesty, they probably didn't want to talk to her either. Or so she would like to assume at least. Gabrielle knew very well that she wasn't everone's cup of tea, but in the last few years she had somehow managed to make friends and at the least have enough people in her life where even if they weren't exactly on friend level they could at least have a drink or a cup of coffee together once in a while. It had taken her a good six months to start to come out of her shell when she first arrived, but, she had been skittish and had spent a lot of time making excuses about getting settled and just wanting to spend time with her brother. Truth was after London it had taken her a while to recharge both mentally, physically, and magically. A time where she had started to watch people first rather than just say 'hello' like she would now. Not to mention deal with some issues she had brought along with her. However, dealing with hard situations seemed to be an old hat by now, and sure enough, she had fallen back into her old habits.
"Exactly." Gabrielle nodded her head slightly. "Especially in towns like this I think," she noted. "I mean, I think throwing any kind of magic into the mix is always going to make things more interesting." and yet the parallels between the human world and this world were still shockingly similar at times. "I know! You can't help but root for them, you know?" out of habit she couldn't help but look around a little bit to see if there was anyone the two women could spot who might be on one of those first dates.
"Oh my," she responded wondering how she could have missed that. Then again it was probably the fall since she had been to the Arcade. "That sounds really lovely though! It sounds like you're really enjoying it." a warm smile fell over Ellie's face. "Next time I come in you might have to show me how to play some of them." she suggested thinking that it would be rather fun. And probably rather comical to Parthenope with how bad Ellie could be at games sometimes. How someone could be that coordinated and yet not at the same time was beyond her sometimes. Ellie perked up a bit at that. While she had always enjoyed working with plants, she hadn't really gone full out with it until the 1930s. Sure she had kept flower beds, but it wasn't until necessity called that she had really started to get into more practical reasons. And if someone was willing to learn, well, how could she possibly say no? "I always need help with the beast." she let out a little bit of a laugh, honestly, it was getting too big for her own good. Not that it would stop her. "I would be more than happy to teach you! I'm actually going to be doing some pre-planting and let some seeds grow in the house in the next few weeks. Why don't you come over and we'll do it together?" she suggested.
