"Hmm," Parthenope hummed, taking that perspective in. She supposed that was a truth back home as well--not everyone was always good or kind--but it seemed odd to put someone in a profession like that if they were anything but altruistic. "I believe that is true about surface politicians, isn't it?" That had baffled her all this time as well. It was easy to remove a tyrant back home. Here? Not so much. "That there are good and bad ones, but the bad give the good a poor reputation, I mean?"
She nodded at that, not having thought of the potential downsides as well. "I suppose it must get lonely too," she ventured. Being a social creature herself, she appreciated her current job more for the face to face interaction that her previous position had not been able to give her, with its mostly over the phone connections with other people. At the arcade she could make real connections with people, which was something she loved.
Parthenope giggled at that, a grateful nod at the bartender then they returned with her drink. "I will try to live up to your standards." Still, she was excited to teach someone something, even if it was a little frivolous. "I'll be honest, I'm not very good at bowling either, but ski balls are lighter, I think that's the secret." At least, it had worked in her favor. She laughed again, a grin forming around the straw in her drink as she took a sip. "Who can argue with that? I don't mind smelling nice for a few days." She stirred the ice around in her glass a moment, still grinning. "I'd love to, any time you like. I don't get to talk about home enough."
