Happy Birthday Dawn!

Dawn looked at her friends and smiled. This was a good way to celebrate her birthday. She didn't need a huge party. Just being at her favorite Stoneybrook restaurant with the people she liked the best was enough for her. The only thing that would have made it perfect was if her California family as well as Maggie and Amalia were there. She didn't dwell on it too much.

She glanced over at the big birthday cake. It was a shame something so pretty was so unhealthy. At least most of her friends would enjoy it. There was a smaller yet sugar free cake as well for herself, Stacey, and Sunny to share.

She would enjoy her favorite dishes and most importantly have fun. That was the important thing.

After getting a snack from the kitchen, Dawn led Stacey to her room. She had a date on Friday night and it had been a while since she had been on one, so she invited her friend over for a little pep talk and outfit consultation.

She had laid out a few outfits on her bed including a casual dress, jeans and a peasant top, a skirt and a sweater, and another skirt and an organic t-shirt. "Which one of these says me the best?" she asked her friend. No matter what Dawn was going to be herself.

Fresh from hanging out with Katie, Sunny had decided to actually do something about her current lack of socializing with friends, and she'd asked Mary Anne if she could hang out with her that night. She had been pleased, yet surprised, when her friend had suggested a sleepover.

So she was at Mary Anne and Dawn's house waiting for them to open the door.

"You're sure this is okay?" She asked in lieu of a greeting.

Dawn had been studying when the new Flair post came out. It had been online for a good five minutes when she finally took a study break and checked out her friends page. She was outraged by what she read. Flair had some gall to post such an obvious lie. Before she could comment and give Flair a piece of her mind, she saw Cokie's comments and Mary Anne's non-comment and realized it was true.

The urge to confront Logan was strong, but Dawn needed to be there for her sister first. Her homework forgotten, she went to Mary Anne's room and found it empty. She managed to keep calm as she went from room to room and didn't find her sister. Dawn figured that she went out for a walk and hoped she would come home soon. It was only when she opened the coat closet and saw Mary Anne's coat next to hers, that she found herself losing her calm.

Since her mom and Richard were out and she was alone, Dawn reached for her cell and punched the speed dial button for Sunny's. She needed someone around to keep her from completely losing her cool and who better than her best friend.

The Sleepover

Kristy surveyed the den with satisfaction. Snacks were set up, movies were out, and mattresses were strategically placed. Evereything a group of girls needed for an old fashioned sleep over. She only hoped Stacey and Dawn wouldn't break open the mud masks, or worse, the alcohol. She knew her friends peobably thought she was lame, but she didn't care. Kristy Thomas did things the Kristy Thomas way. She heard the bell ring and grinned.

The first guest was here.

Luckily Sabrina was able to have her Halloween Bash as planned. None of her preparation had been foiled by Sandy for which she was grateful. Her home had turned into a spooky mansion. Halloween and regular party music played throughout the night.

Three different drink stations were set up. One on the far left of the property for alcoholic drinks, one on the far right for non-alcoholic drinks, and one in the middle for both. By all drink stations were tables filled with all kinds of food imaginable. The entire lower floor was open for guest as were a few rooms on the upper half for those who wanted a little privacy. Anything valuable that could be stolen had been moved to another location off of the estate so that was one thing Sabrina didn't have to worry about.

Everybody who showed up got a Halloween inspired goody bag filled with candy and other Halloween treats. Those who brought a donation of some sort received an additional bag containing a camera and a $100 Washington Mall gift card. People who didn't show up in a costume was given a mask and weren't allowed to enter until they put it on.

Dawn & Sunny

Dawn put two glasses of organic strawberry orange juice on the kitchen table before sitting across from Sunny. She had invited her oldest friend over to hang out and try some vegetarian recipes she had found. First she wanted to catch up with her friend. She finally had a homework light day. Dawn had been swamped with assignment after assignment over the past few weeks and hadn't able to focus as much on Sunny as she would have liked.

"It nice to be able to hang out like this," Dawn said happily before taking a sip of her juice. It was nice to have a friend around that understood why she ate the way that she did.
