Sitting down in front of her computer, Shannon opened her email and clicked on the button to compose a new message. It had been just a little over two weeks since her run-in at Bellair's with Brock, and Shannon hadn't spoken to him since then. She didn't want him to think she was mad at him, because she wasn't. Not really. She wasn't exactly pleased that they'd nearly gotten caught shoplifting, but it hadn't ended up nearly as bad as it could have.

The only problem was, she didn't know what to say. She stared at the blank message box, watching the cursor blink, until finally she just started typing.

It had been almost a month since the after-party at Sheila's and Shannon still hadn't talked to Brock. She needed to do it soon though, because, really, it was getting ridiculous. Still, how did you even start a conversation like that? 'Hey, I think I might have made out with you on Prom night, but I'm not really sure?' No, surely she could come up with something more tactful than that. Making up her mind that today was going to be the day, she told herself there was no backing out and she was going to hunt down Brock and talk to him. Right after she finished shopping. There was a sale on shorts at Bellair's, after all.

Entering the store, she followed the little pathway that led to the Juniors section. Along the way, she passed the section that contained all the baby items and, much to her surprise, Brock was there. Well, there was no doubt about it now. She had to talk to him. As she approached him, she noticed that he seemed a little nervous. Maybe he was just embarrassed to be shopping there. "Brock?" she spoke up to get his attention.

To be honest, Sunny was still trying to adjust to the outside world, even after hanging out with Logan and RJ -- and convincing Dawn that she hadn't done anything daft like running away back to California -- which was why she was purposefully walking around Kristy's neighborhood, and not anywhere where she knew a lot of people. She couldn't deal with the sheer effort that socializing with most of her friends required. She just couldn't.

So she'd purposely picked a route that would likely require her to run into positively no one.

And then she'd spotted the Bernese Mountain Dog being walked by a vaguely familiar girl, and she couldn't resist stopping to pet it. "You're ...Shannon, right?"

Stacey was in that love sick haze, the kind people got when they were actually with someone who was just perfect for them, and there was no complications, no issues, just fun and kissing and Austin. She knew she had it bad, and probably wasn't being a good friend, so she tried to tone it down when she was with other people. It was hard.

"Where were you thinking?" Stacey asked Shannon, dragging herself back to the present (shopping with Shannon) and away from a fun night last night with Austin.
