There were a large number of tubs of icecream put out on just about every flat surface available with a spell to keep them cold. Coffee and tea ready and remaining warm. Cold drinks stuffed in the fridge. Onesies sorted by size at the door, for people who didn't have one.

Sarah wasn't feeling very in the mood for science, so instead of her usual pair she instead wore a pink cat. All the sciencing in the world wouldn't bring her family back. Ice cream didn't even interest her. Bubble Gum and tape residue. That was all that was holding her together.

Her onesie was big baggy and pink, with a tail dangling off the back, and cat ears and a face on the hood. The hood was back, though, and her hair was free and wavy. Wild curls tucked in with straighter sections. She hadn't bothered with makeup either. There was no point, it would just get cried off. She also chose to go with a pair of glasses, over her contacts.

Sarah stood at the big dining room table that had once been in their parents house on the island. Slowly stirring her slow melting bowl of ice cream.

Rachel had gone digging through the pile and found a sloth onesie that felt pretty perfect. She'd given Bobby way more hugs than he was happy with and would do the same with Tommy if he showed up. This wasn't the first time they'd lost family and probably wouldn't be the last but this time felt different.

After checking on a couple of people she walked over and slipped an arm around Sarah's shoulders. She at least seemed to have actual tape holding her together rather than just residue.

	Sarah stopped the ice cream stirring all together and she turned into the draped arm and wrapped both of her's around her sisters middle. She squeezed. And a soft little sob escaped her. "Hi." She muffled her voice against Rachel's shoulder. "It's so hard without sciencing it. I could at least be a zombie for a few weeks when I scienced it." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Rachel wrapped her other arm around Sarah and just held onto her. "I know. Science is a pretty great distraction." She rubbed Sarah's back and tried to sooth her a bit. She wasn't good at science but she was good with nature. "We can get through this, though. We're not alone." It didn't sound the most reassuring to her for some reason. "It's just me, you, Tommy and Sookie now." Though the room was did have quite a few adopted Sullys. And then there was the third generation. Her eyes lit on her, and Shepard's babies. Mouse not but a few feet from them as they played. They moved on to Bobby. On the floor against the wall beside Shepard.

Then there were the extended family. She was sure she could count Miguel as one of those. Her gaze found him on the arm of the couch. "We got to hold the ones we have left close."

Shepard hadn't bought into the whole weird pajama wearing. Instead she wore something from each person that was missing under her roof. The last teeshirt JR wore. A pair of Addie's pajama pants, and a button down shirt, left unbuttoned. She looked nothing like the commanding Commander.

She sat on the floor, rather than occupy one of the many seats. She sat and watched the tiny redhead and tiny blonde play their cousins. Sarah's large dog sat within reach of the toddlers. Playing the Nanny dog. She watched them all in a haze.

Bobby had put on the blue dinosaur onesie that Sarah put aside for him and was especially thankful for the warding. There wasn't anything but his own emotions going through his head. He made up two bowls of ice cream, each with a little bit if each flavor and then took them over to Shepard.

"May I?" He asked as he indicated the spot of the floor next to her. He'd leave if she told him no.

	Shepard didn't really say anything. She glanced up at him briefly and she nodded. She didn't trust her voice. So she looked at the spot beside her, and nodded. What harm could it do? It wasn't like he was distracting her from watching the kids play together. How she envied them a little. Blissfully unaware of the way their family had been paired down to nothing. 	Bobby took a seat on the floor and set one of the bowls of ice cream close to her. "I wasn't sure what you would like so I got you a little bit of everything." She'd been on the phone almost as soon as she was done texting with Sarah. She needed her family, that's the thought she had first. And then the realization that her immediate family was gone save for her mother and the baby twins. At least the infant didn't lose her twin. Her family now included Mr Darcy, though.

As soon as Mr Darcy told her he was at the door she hung up the phone and answered it. As tall as he was she really hoped there was a onesie that fit him because that was going to be a wonderful sight. She opened the door and pulled him inside without saying a word.

She was wearing a panda onesie with the hood back. It was way too big but she didn't care. She had her hair in pigtails and she knew she had to look a mess from all the crying.

	Darcy put the phone back in his pocket, and as soon as that door swung open he was true to his word. He didn’t stop to question the outfit, or ask stupid questions, he just stepped forward and pulled her against his chest into a quite protective hug. His hands moved to gently rub at her back as he just held her for as long as she needed. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Ashley practically melted against his chest. She wrapped her arms around him and closed her eyes. It really was an amazing hug and exactly what she needed. She held onto him for a couple of minutes before finally looking up at him. "We need to find you a onesie." Being wrapped in his arms just affirmed her question of funding one he could wear. He held her for as long as she needed, hoping that his physical presence could offer a comfort even though words could only fall short. She looked up at him, and he gave her a sympathetic smile.

“All right,” he said softly. One hand so that he could use his thumb to gently wipe the tears from her cheeks. That would be a losing battle for a while. “I don’t know what that is, but whatever you want.”

	Ashley closed her eyes again as he wiped away the tears. She said a silent prayer that she had him to help her get through this, then smiled. "It's a type of pajamas. Like this." She moved just enough to indicate what she was wearing, but not enough to lose contact. "You can wear it over your clothes if you want." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
