There were a large number of tubs of icecream put out on just about every flat surface available with a spell to keep them cold. Coffee and tea ready and remaining warm. Cold drinks stuffed in the fridge. Onesies sorted by size at the door, for people who didn't have one.

Miguel looked up at the sound of his name, and gave Darcy a small nod in reply. "Mr. Darcy," he said, and then turned the tablet round to show him. "I'm just reviewing some results from experiments that were carried out on plant samples last week." The tablet was currently showing a few line graphs overlain on top of each other, with each line showing slightly different peaks and troughs.

"Nice onesie," he added.

When Miguel showed him the screen, Darcy did look at it curiously. "What is it that you are aiming to discover?" he asked softly. The advances in science were beyond all comprehension, and if he had held onto any sort of belief that this was all an illusion, the detail in the science and technology would havesurely convinced him otherwise.

"Mm. Thank you. I was worried the accent wouldn't be enough of a clue, so thought I'd be safest becoming a flag for the day. And you..." he quirked an eyebrow at the unusual design. "Equally fetching, I must say."

"I'm looking to see how closely the plants are related to each other," Miguel said, still letting Darcy look at the graph while he explained. "Each line represents a different plant. You can see that two of the lines are quite similar, their peaks and troughs are in roughly the same places. And then the other line is different. So I can tell from this that the plants represented by the green and blue lines are closer than the plant with the red line."

Miguel just gave a smirk at Darcy's assessment of his onesie. "This one is a Spider-Man onesie. So while you're a flag, I'm a super-hero."

Darcy nodded, and was surprised to find that what he was telling him actually did make sense. Perhaps he underestimated his own ability to understand these things. "I see. And is that what you would have expected?" he asked curiously.

Darcy tilted his head and considered what Miguel was saying to him. No, the plants made sense, that was just odd gibberish. "Why do you suppose that being a spider man would make you heroic?"

"It is, yeah," Miguel replied, and turned the tablet back so he could flick through a few different apps until he found the part he was looking for. When he turned it round again, there were three photographs on the screen, showing a slightly scruffy-looking rose bush, a wild rose bush, and some weird plant that he'd found growing close by when he'd taken the samples of the two different roses. "The first two are the green and blue plants. They're both roses, but they're not exactly the same. And then the third picture is the red plant and I don't know what that is, other than not-a-rose."

"As for being a hero..." he began, and then paused. "Where I'm from, Spider-Man was a great hero. He had similar attributes to a spider, so he could stick to walls and spin webs, and he was very strong and fast. And he used these abilities to help people, keeping them safe from all sorts of dangers. This onesie is similar to the costume he wore, except he covered his face as well."
