Shepard hadn't bought into the whole weird pajama wearing. Instead she wore something from each person that was missing under her roof. The last teeshirt JR wore. A pair of Addie's pajama pants, and a button down shirt, left unbuttoned. She looked nothing like the commanding Commander.

She sat on the floor, rather than occupy one of the many seats. She sat and watched the tiny redhead and tiny blonde play their cousins. Sarah's large dog sat within reach of the toddlers. Playing the Nanny dog. She watched them all in a haze.
