Hey, hey, Pete and I are back with new national days. Or, in this case, national day. Since December is packed with holidays, we decided to just celebrate one day this time. It is a good one too.

National Ugly Holiday Sweater: December 20th


We're holding a contest in the building's community area that night. Refreshments will be served. We are also looking for a third judge who is not family. Volunteers?

One of our neighbors in New Mexico was this super adorable Cuban lady. She would cook for us some times because apparently Jane and I looked underfed and Oh. My. Glob, it was delicious.

Yeah, my family did that with a couple neighborhood kids too. It's a thing. We never cooked small anyway. It was one of the few good things about going home for the holidays though it was just in Central City. Mama was a good cook.
