Friends of Snarry:

The 2007 snarry_games Winter Games are nearly over. We have just posted the last of a Grand Total of 64 Snarry stories. We are very happy and awed by the overwhelming response and support of this project, and would like to thank everyone who has been involved. The mods, the Champions, the voters and judges, the reviewers and reporters, the affiliates. Thank you all!

We now move into our final voting phase. We will be giving everyone until 6:00pm, Thursday, May 31/07, EST, to finish their reading and voting. The polls will remain open until that time (feel free to pimp your favourite team during this time), and then will be closed to enable the Mods to begin the counting process, which should last approximately 4 days. You can also take this time to edit your votes, if necessary. Instructions on how are under the cut, where you will also find a Master List of all the submissions to help guide you to the entries that you may have missed during this month-long Snarry flurry. If you are all caught up, enjoy the Drabbles to come!

Do not think the community will be idle, because tomorrow we begin posting the Closing Games Drabbles, as well as some more Champion Interviews. We also have new Affiliates to announce, and thanks to give. Those of you who have not yet seen the wonderful Opening Games Crack!Art done by many of last year's Games Champions, do enjoy.

• Speaking of Most Valuable Players, the mods all agree that glockgal was a stellar example of one during these Games, supplying not one, but two excellent entries for her Team (teamromance_art), but also working hard to help beta her teammates over at their comm, and still commenting on every entry during these last 4 weeks, for both Teams. This kind of participation, support and dedication to Snarry is exactly what we are trying to promote with these Games, and to that end, we have invited glockgal to be our official Artist for the 2007 Games! **Firstly, to those folks trying to join either the teamangst_art or the teamromance_art art comms, these are private PARTICIPANTS ONLY communities (as are the Winter Participants comms). With regards to the Medal Ceremony, the mods are currently taking shifts counting like maniacs, though it appears as if it will take a little longer to calculate than we originally anticipated. We will need a couple more days, as taking the time to weed out the null votes while calculating the averages for 228 questions, to then double-and triple-check for accuracy. But we will get there, slowly but surely, and have the winners announced VERY soon!
