Rose Lakatos + Uriel
a slow shift in the bookstore lets some people potter about
June 21st | A Novel Idea | TBD
Typically, A Novel Idea wasn't busy, per say. They had their little rushes now and then, but it was usually a much more steady pace for the people in town who still didn't like Kindles or scholars coming in to get specific books. Rose had found out quickly after she started working that Templars and Men of Letters members were a common occurrence in the store; Melissa's ability to get rare and unusual books was almost renowned in the area.

People had been a little cautious around Rose at first, until her family name came up and she got the 'that Lakatos family?' as if they were a terribly common tribe. She didn't blame people being unsure, really. She knew that she was kept out of things, Hannah made that effort while raising her and Mike, it hadn't taken with Mike, her twin far too eager to be like his big brothers, but Rose was happy to remain largely out of it.

Her talents with research did pay off in other ways though, and Melissa seemed to think she could help out well with the requests for tomes specific to hunter, Templar and MoL needs. Rose wasn't thrilled about it, but the idea was that they were protecting people, so she didn't mind assisting from time to time.

That afternoon was relatively slow, so Rose had taken a stack of books that had come in and was seeing about organising shelves to fit everything in the right place while pulling some old and unpopular titles. They'd stay in the back until someone inevitably asked for one of them. It didn't hurt that it also meant Rose could flip through the books to see if any of them interested her too.

Even if she happened to get a little caught up in reading and doing less work.
