Ever since arriving in Seven Devils Cody had been uncharacteristically keeping himself to himself but then it wasn’t like this was just some stop on his trip around the world, he was here for a particular reason and that was to learn as much as he could about the supernatural world. The world that he’d never even thought existed until well, Yua, and Japan, then everything else he’d found out by actually doing research and listening to a bunch of different podcasts.
After having made himself at home in his rented room in the Blue Moon Bed & Breakfast Cody figured it was about time he got out into the local community. Of course that ended up with him having grabbed both a coffee and a pastry before his feet had taken him in the direction of the 8-Bit Emporium where he’d lost several hours on one of the couches engaged in various different video games.
So far he had learned the names of everybody else in the room including their family history as well as what games they did or didn’t like but that was the perks of being friendly and confident enough to strike up conversation with strangers. “Alright, alright,” he said as he rose to his feet. “I’d better get going ‘cause I lost way more time in here than I planned to.” The controller in his hand was passed over to Ted who had up until this moment been his very willing very eager cheerleader section. “Do me proud, Ted.”
“Aw, man, talk about pressure.”
Cody chuckled and just patted Ted’s shoulder as he ventured towards the movie rental section as it might be good to have something to watch later when he was alone in his room.
