01:03 pm [neuhallidae] [Link]	The Halls of Fate, Part Four In our last chapter, Hector was subjected to bodysnatching, psychic intervention, ancient wizard dickery, and finally found a long lost someone. In this chapter, we get two reunions, a fight, and a lot of history hopscotching between DC and Vertigo. Twenty-five pages from six issues, spread out over JSA, Infinity Inc., and Sandman. Also features the second-creepiest panel of Hector ever. 06:25 pm [merseybeatler] [Link]	The Corinthian: Death In Venice (plus some junk) The Corinthian is, well, so fucking creepy. I don't even know where to begin. Seriously, I haven't had that many nightmares about a fictional character since kindergarten (about, er, Captain Hook!). Obviously, though, that was the intention. :P Anyway, I've decided to start reading as many of the Sandman spinoffs as I can find, beginning with Gaiman's Death miniseries which I posted earlier. The Corinthian: Death In Venice is written by Darko Macan and illustrated by Danijel Zezelj (??) and was, frankly, quite disappointing. Not scary at all. It seemed to be trying to channel Ann Rice, but failing. HE EVEN LOOKS LIKE BRAD PITT. One day in every century Death takes on human flesh, better to comprehend what the lives she takes must feel like, to taste the bitter tang of mortality. This is the price she must pay for being the divider of the living from all that has gone before, all that must come after. Featuring ~~almost~~ everyone's favorite anthropomorphic personification of kicking the bucket, being cute. Also spoilers. ( dial-uppers bewarre: here be large scans! ) :D Current Mood: peachy keen! 11:22 am [red_cyclone] [Link]	Perfect Desire Moment This is my perfect Desire moment, Gaiman perfectly shows just how self-obsessed s/he is, and how much a creature of the moment, and the words utterly haunt me. I really wanted to use it in my dissertation, but unfortunatly I couldn't find a way to work it in, this makes up for it.
