10:20 pm [cyberghostface] [Link]	Marc Guggenheim on Ben Reilly One of the things you can play around with when it comes to the Ben Reilly character is, he's Spider-Man. At least, he was Spider-Man for a time. But there's a moral code to him that's not as fully formed as Peter Parker's moral code. So if I were to pitch a story where you suspect Peter of killing a family, you would never buy that. You would never believe for a moment that he'd be capable of that. But with Ben Reilly, it's a distinct possibility. Source So I'll just let that stand by itself and hear what you people have to say on it. For legality... And no, I don't know where that's from. And, OH, how I am going to SAVOR this moment. :) So, here we are, Wednesday at last, and Amazing Spider-Man #605 is finally on the stands. Amazing Spider-Man writer Fred Van Lente told us that Amazing Spider-Man #605 "makes it clear that Michelle and Chameleon did nothing more than make out in the kitchen scene" in Amazing Spider-Man #603, in which "[t]here was no sex" between the two characters. Spider-Man editor Steve Wacker told us that, in Amazing Spider-Man #605, "we'll come to find out the truth" about whether the Chameleon and Michelle had sex in Amazing Spider-Man #603, and he added that "Michelle isn't as 'easy' as some readers seem to think." With all that being said, what ACTUALLY APPEARED on the printed pages of Amazing Spider-Man #605 this week? 04:48 pm [drsevarius] [Link]	Fred Van Lente update on the Chameleon controversy I got another e-mail from Fred Van Lente, that he's asked me to post. First off, while I believe he had the best of intentions, the poster "DrSevarius" wrote me under his real name and asked me a question I thought I was answering in private, to him. He posted my response without my permission and without telling me beforehand it was supposed to be for public consumption. If he had told me that, I would have, first off, made it clear that I am not a Marvel employee. I am not a Marvel spokesperson. I am a freelancer. I speak only for myself. That is just as true for the following statement as the previous one. Also, if he had told me that, I may have been less coy about the following "Spoiler Alert". Anyone who cares not to have stuff that's in ASM #605 revealed now should avert their eyes. Amazing Spider-Man #605, which went to the printer weeks ago, makes it clear that Michelle and Chameleon did nothing more than make out in the kitchen scene in #603. There was no sex, and therefore no rape. And I'll simply point out that in the scene in ASM #604 when Peter comes home he has no idea why, exactly, Michelle is treating him differently, only that she is. He learns why-- at least partly -- and he responds, in #605. Thanks for listening. I appreciate it.
