Arrows in BoP
I was flipping through the Birds of Prey: Platinum Flats trade, and happened upon my favourite panel with Ollie ever:

And thought I'd scan a couple more bits from that book.

First of all, spaghetti context:

Manhunter is spying on Canary for Babs. Because we all know that batstalking-by-proxy means "I miss you and I'm worried about you."

Later...

That foot to the face is Dinah saying hello to Kate.

Some issues later, the Birds are dealing with the Silicon Syndicate, and Canary and the Arrows show up to help:

Look at them, having fun working for Babs together!

I can't help thinking that Tony Bedard should take over Green Arrow/Black Canary. (Either that, or when Dinah and Ollie got married, he and Mia should've just joined the Birds along with Dinah.)

First of all, A+ on finding that.

Ah! See, I was thinking of how Chuck Dixon likes to overwrite canon to make it so Dick always loved Babs and never Kory (frex, Nightwing: Year One). I've never really been involved with ship wars because I never knew who "Kory" was*, or her importance to Dick until Scans Daily, at which point I saw that she was often being ignored for Babs.

*I knew who Starfire was, but I was all "lol, who's this Kory chick?"

But yeah, I can see how that would be possible. I really don't like the idea that Dick and Babs were really totally in love as Robin and Batgirl, though, as it kind of forces Babs to be the same age as Dick, and it just makes their relationship far too cutesy.

My personal canon says that there was just a bit of flirting, friendship, and a bit of infatuation/lust at that point, but that they didn't actually become a couple until after NML or whenever it was.
