Arthur could no longer hope to return to sleep; the sun had well and truly risen, and the musings which had kept him awake the last few hours were obviously not going to leave on their own. Thoughts swirled through his mind-- of Camelot, wondering if it was true, that time froze when they left-- thinking it could not possibly be so, since he, Morgana, and Merlin were all from different times-- pondering how none of them had ever disappeared for the others... concerned about how the kingdom was faring...
...wondering what Guinevere was doing, and knowing he should not.
With a sigh, he tossed back the covers and climbed out of bed, stretching before getting dressed. He knew of one good way to work through thoughts that had no answers, which was getting to the practice field; barring that option, he supposed he would see what this archery range was like. He preferred a moving target to a stationary one, but would make do. Pulling on his boots and strapping on his sword belt, he left his room as quietly as possible, so as not to disturb his housemates. And, that was something else he had to wonder about; who planned these housing arrangements, or was it random? It certainly seemed to be the latter.
The only good thing about being outside this early was the air, and Arthur took a deep breath as he stepped onto the path. While he would prefer to be abed and snoring (well, maybe not snoring, despite Gwen's claims) at this hour, there really was no other time of day that felt and smelled quite like this. And, while Ridgeway was no Camelot, it was a pretty enough place.
Soon enough, he reached the archery range; not expecting anyone else to be there, he went in to see what sorts of weaponry they had available.
